The female SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Jan. 15-21) is track sprinter Alexa Winik. The senior from Windsor, Ontario won the 200 meter dash and was part of the winning 4 x 400 relay squad at the indoor season-opening Indiana Wesleyan Classic in Marion, Indiana on Saturday, Jan. 21. Winik led the Lady Jackets to six top finishes at the non-scoring event. She posted a time of 26.19 in the 200 and joined Katie Lanphier, Christina Gall and Joy Santos for a 4:02.79 effort in the 4 x 400.

The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Jan. 15-21) is basketball player Zimmy Nwogbo. The 6-foot-7 junior forward from Lithonia, Georgia posted a pair of double-doubles for the 10-7 Yellow Jackets. He finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds in an 80-64 win over visiting Miami-Middletown on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Nwogbo followed up with 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 73-72 setback at Walsh University on Saturday, Jan. 21 in North Canton, Ohio.
