May 3-4, at AMC Championship
Cedarville finished the season by placing sixth in the American Mideast Conference Championships at the Apple Valley Golf Club. The Jackets put together three of their lowest rounds of the season with scores of 313-310-313 for a 936 total. Craig Bennington tied for 15th overall with rounds of 73-79-77 for a score of 229. Other Yellow Jacket results were Matt Dunn (82-73-79-234), Mike Poelzer (79-77-79-235), Tom Simon, (83-81-78-242), and Russ Toms (79-86-82-247). [COMPLETE RESULTS]

April 24-25, 20th Annual CEDARVILLE INVITATIONAL
Matt Dunn fired a 74 and Craig Bennington carded a 75 as the Yellow Jackets placed fourth in the 20th Annual Cedarville Invitational which was won by Shawnee State for the third time in the past five years. The Bears totaled 618 for the 36-hole event and was followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene at 621. First-round leader Urbana was next at 630, Cedarville had 636, Tiffin was at 647, and Central State finished at 856. Dunn tied for fourth overall with scores of 78-74-152 and Bennington was tied for eighth at 82-75-157. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Mike Poelzer, 82-80-162; Tom Simon, 85-80-165; and Russ Toms, 87-80-167. [COMPLETE RESULTS]

April 21, at Mount Vernon Nazarene Invitational
Cedarville struggled to a sixth-place finish at the rain-shortened Mount Vernon Nazarene Invitational. The scheduled two-day, 36-hole event at the Apple Valley Golf Club was reduced to 27 holes in one day due to the weather. The host Cougars won the team title with a 457 total. The rest of the field included Shawnee State, 466; Urbana, 478; Walsh, 486; Tiffin, 490; and Cedarville, 491. Craig Bennington tied for third individually with scores of 76-39-115. Other Yellow Jacket results included Matt Dunn (83-41-124), Russ Toms (82-43-125), Tom Simon (86-42-128), and Mike Poelzer (90-42-132).

April 18, at Central State Invitational
The Yellow Jackets finished second, 10 shots behind champion Shawnee State, at the Central State Invitational. The Bears totaled 307, CU had 317, and was followed by Urbana "B" (323), Wilmington (342), Central State (385), and Wilberforce (414). Russ Toms fired a season-low 77 to lead the Yellow Jackets. Other scores were Craig Bennington, 79; Tom Simon, 80; Mike Poelzer, 81; and Jeff Beckley, 87.

April 16-17, at Walsh Invitational
The Yellow Jackets placed fifth out of seven schools at the Walsh Invitational where the host Cavaliers posted a convincing 21-stroke victory. Walsh had a 615 total and was followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (636), Malone "B" (637), Urbana (651), Cedarville (659), Tiffin (661), and Saint Vincent (758). Matt Dunn led the Jackets with rounds of 79 and 76 for a 155 total which was six shots off of medalist honors. Other CU scores were Mike Poelzer (87-80-167), Russ Toms (84-85-169), Craig Bennington (88-83-171), and Tom Simon (85-89-174).

April 12-13, at Urbana Invitational
Cedarville finished sixth out of 11 schools at the windy Urbana Invitational. The Yellow Jackets posted a 36-hole total of 676 while Mount Vernon Nazarene won the event by 14 shots with a 616 score. The opening day featured wind gusts over 50 miles per hour at the Woodland Golf Club while a calmer climate prevailed over the final 18 holes at the Indian Springs Golf Club. Matt Dunn had rounds of 83 and 79 for a 162 total to pace CU. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Tom Brayton (87-84-171), Mike Poelzer (89-82-171), Craig Bennington (89-83-172), and Tom Simon (90-86-176).

April 9, at Tiffin Invitational
The Yellow Jackets placed fifth out of eight schools at the Tiffin Invitational played at the Red Hawk Run Golf Club. Walsh won the event with a 312 total and was followed by Spring Arbor (316), Malone "B" (322), Tiffin "A" (327), Cedarville (333), Tiffin "B" (341), Urbana "B" (343), and Central State (506). Matt Dunn led the Jackets with an 80. Mike Poelzer and Tom Simon each had an 84 while Tom Brayton and Craig Bennington each turned in an 85.

April 2, at Shawnee State Invitational
The Yellow Jackets' five scores were all within three shots of one another, but they placed fourth out of five schools at the Shawnee State Invitational. Urbana was the winner with a 296 total and was followed by Mount Vernon Nazarene (303), Shawnee State (308), Cedarville (323), and Wilmington (341). Mike Poelzer and Tom Simon each carded an 80 for the Yellow Jackets. Craig Bennington had an 81, senior Russ Toms made his first start of the season and turned in an 82, while #1 player Matt Dunn struggled to an 83.

March 29-30, at Muskingum Invitational
Matt Dunn carded rounds of 76 and 72 for a 148 total to place 11th at the Muskingum Invitational where the Yellow Jackets finished 10th as a team. CU had back-to-back rounds of 317 for a 634 total. Ohio Wesleyan won the 36-hole event with a 576. Dunn finished seven strokes off the pace at the par 70 layout. Other scores for Cedarville were Mike Poelzer 81-78-159, Craig Bennington 85-78-163, and Tom Simon 81-89-170. Tom Brayton, who fired a 79 in the first round, was forced to withdraw on the 13th hole of the second round with an injury.
