MARION, Ind. (11-7-2000) -- Indiana Wesleyan jumped out to a 2-0 lead and held on for a 2-1 victory over Cedarville in the first round of the NCCAA Midwest Regional. The Wildcats, 11-8-0, scored goals in the 18th and 63rd minutes. Yellow Jacket rookie forward Jon Waldo netted his team-high 11th goal of the season in the 65th minute with assists from Dan Adams and Aaron Cook. Cedarville ends the season at 9-9-2. TIFFIN, Ohio (10-28-2000) -- Cedarville ended the regular season with a 2-1 American Mideast Conference setback at Tiffin. The match was scoreless until the Dragons found the net in the 63rd minute. TU got the eventual game winner with just three minutes left. The Jackets made it close on Andy Levesque's first goal of the season in the 89th minute with Steve Zarrilli assisting. [STATS] |
