  • Eddie Nehus is Cedarville's best-ever 800 meter performer on the track.....also runs the 1,500 meters and 4 x 400 relay.....two-time NAIA Outdoor All-American in the 800 and was a 2001 NAIA Indoor All-American in the event placing third in each final.....three-time NCCAA 800 meter champion and two-time conference champ.....800 meter champion against NCAA Division I competition last spring at Miami (Ohio) and Bowling Green, and placed third at the Drake Relays.....took nearly three seconds off of what was the school's oldest track record, previously set in 1973, with a 1:49.86 clocking in the 800 at the 1999 NAIA Nationals.....four-year member of nationally-ranked cross country team that placed a best-ever fifth at the NAIA Nationals last fall and was the NCCAA runner-up.....NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete in both cross country and track.

    High School -- Four-year letter winner in track and cross country at Gallia Academy.....all-state track performer as a senior and holds school record in the 800 meters.....all-league and all-district cross country runner who was a member of a district and league championship squad as a senior.....valedictorian of graduating class.

    Personal -- Dean's Honor List student as a Chemistry major at Cedarville University.....Alumni Scholarship in Science & Math.....born 1/6/79.....son of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Nehus.....younger sister, Erin, is a sophomore on the Lady Jackets track team.
