Megan Petersen put together a remarkable 2000 season with the Lady Jackets after transferring from the University of Iowa.....NCCAA All-American.....voted to the NAIA Region IX Team and to the American Mideast Conference First Team.....NCCAA Midwest Region Tournament MVP.....named Cedarville's Female Athlete of the Year..... batted a team-high .421 at the plate while setting a school-record for pitching victories in a season with a 20-7 record.....led the AMC with a 0.77 earned run average and ranked second with 181 strikeouts.....fanned 10 or more batters in a game five times including a career-high 12 against Mount Vernon Nazarene.....struck out 10 while tossing a one-hitter in a 1-0 victory over AMC champion Walsh.....set other school pitching records for appearances (30), starts (25), complete games (24), and innings (180.2).....won 14 of her last 17 decisions with a seven-game winning streak.....ranked third in the AMC in batting.....put together a school-record 20-game hitting streak.....team leader in at bats (120), hits (51), and runs scored (30).....registered 14 multi-hit games including a four-hit performance in a win against Shawnee State and six three-hit games.....at Iowa, posted a 7-3 record with a 1.59 ERA on the mound as a sophomore.....struck out 44 batters with just 12 walks in 88 innings pitched.....made 15 starts with six complete games.....hurled a complete-game victory over No. 6 Arizona State at the San Jose Tournament.....appeared in 10 games as a freshman with a 0-1 record and a 2.80 ERA.....first career hit was a triple against Iowa State.

High School -- Earned four letters in softball and three more in soccer at Los Angeles Baptist High School.....collected all-conference honors in softball and helped her team win the league championship as a senior.....named team MVP her final three seasons.

Personal -- Dean's List student as a Criminal Justice major at Cedarville University.....born 2/25/79.....daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Petersen.....has two younger brothers and a younger sister.
