Ashley Smith joins the Lady Jackets after earning nine letters total in softball, basketball, and volleyball at Arcanum High School.....four-time All-Darke County and All-Cross County Conference selection at shortstop.....four-year letter winner on the diamond.....team finished as the regional runner-up last spring.....batted .450 or higher all four seasons with a career-high .620 batting average as a sophomore.....three-year letter winner in basketball who averaged 11 points per game as a senior.....named to the all-conference team as well as the all-county team.....collected two letters in volleyball.....played in 27 out of 28 games for the Lady Jacket basketball team this winter with two starts at forward.....averaged 3.5 points per game and shot 44 percent from the field.....scored a season-high 10 points at Huntington.....National Honor Society student.....sister-in-law Diane Rank Smith, who played softball and basketball for the Lady Jackets, is a member of the Cedarville University Athletic Hall of Fame. Personal -- Born 2/1/82.....daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Smith.....has two older brothers.
