GREENSBURG, Pa. (5-1-2001) -- The Lady Jackets finished their season at 18-18 overall and 13-13 in the American Mideast Conference following a 12-1 and 9-3 doubleheader sweep at Seton Hill. It's the first time in Cedarville's 17-year fast-pitch softball history that they have finished two consecutive years at .500 or better after posting a 24-15 mark last spring. Ashley Smith was 3-for-4 in the opener while winning pitcher Megan Petersen had two hits and three RBI's. Debbie Krick added two hits and three RBI's and Elissa Morrison had two hits in the game that was halted after five innings due to the eight-run mercy rule. [GAME 1 BOXSCORE] Cedarville was hitless in the nightcap before breaking loose for five runs in the fifth inning and four more in the sixth. Beth Weaver cracked a three-run homer in her final collegiate at bat and Ashley Smith supplied two hits and two RBI's. [GAME 2 BOXSCORE]
