Julie Nourse put together another solid season in the post after leading the Lady Jackets in scoring at 14.5 ppg and in rebounding at 7.8 rpg.....became the eighth women's player in school history to surpass 1,000 career points.....named to the NCCAA All-America First Team and to the NCCAA All-Midwest Region Team.....ranked in the Top 10 in the American Mideast Conference in rebounding, field goal percentage (.500), and free throw percentage (.763).....All-AMC Second Team selection.....voted to three invitational all-tournament teams.....started all 33 games, scored in double figures 23 times, and grabbed 10 or more rebounds nine times with nine double-doubles.....had a season-high 28 points with 11 rebounds in a win over Grace.....tallied 27 points with a career-high 19 boards in a victory at Notre Dame OH. 1998-99 -- Nourse proved herself to be one of the top centers in the AMC as a sophomore.....voted to the All-AMC First Team upon averaging 15.0 ppg and 7.6 rpg with a team-high .584 field goal percentage which ranked third in the league and 10th nationally in NAIA Division I.....NCCAA All-America Second Team and NCCAA All-Midwest Region First Team selection.....named to the Cedarville and Huntington Invitational all-tournament teams.....started all 31 games, reached double figures in scoring 23 times, in rebounding eight times, and had seven double-doubles.....scored a career-high 29 points in a win at Wilmington.....Netted 25 points with a season-high 16 rebounds during a victory at Huntington. 1997-98 -- Nourse was voted the Mid-Ohio Conference Freshman of the Year upon leading the Yellow Jackets in scoring (12.6), rebounding (8.0), field goal percentage (.584), and free throw percentage (.779).....ranked second in the league in field goal accuracy, third in rebounding, and fourth in free throw shooting.....NCCAA All-America Second Team selection.....named to the All-NAIA Division I Great Lakes Section First Team, All-MOC First Team, and NCCAA All-Midwest Region First Team.....scored in double figures 18 times including four games of 20 or more points.....totalled 19 points with 15 rebounds versus Rio Grande, and had 26 points with 14 boards at Rio Grande. High School -- Nourse put together an outstanding career at nearby Shawnee High School where she played with Yellow Jacket teammate Stephanie Schanher.....All-Ohio Division II Third Team selection after averaging 16.1 points and 11.2 rebounds as a senior.....paced the Central Buckeye Conference in scoring and rebounding for the second straight season while being named an all-conference first-teamer.....graduated as Shawnee's career leader in points (1,100) and rebounds (846) and also scored a school-record 40 points in one game.....named to the Springfield News-Sun All-Area First Team and one of only two players in the area to average double figures in both scoring and rebounding.....three-time District 9 All-Star who played on two sectional and one district championship team.
