It's the fourth straight year the Yellow Jacket netters have earned the honor. The program recognizes teams who maintain a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average for the team. It includes all student-athletes on the roster who have competed in at least one match. Cedarville is one of ten NAIA schools nationally to be so honored. The Yellow Jackets join Embry-Riddle FL and Georgia Southwestern as the only institutions to have both their men's and women's teams recognized. Other NAIA women's programs listed include Bethany KS, Indiana-Southeast, McKendree IL, Saint Francis IN, and Walsh OH. Lyon AR and Southwestern KS were also named in the men's division. Netters end season at 15-4 STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (5-9-2001) -- Cedarville set a school record for most victories in a season with a 15-4 mark following a 9-0 victory over Piedmont in the NCCAA National Invitational consolation match. The netters swept the singles in straight sets and won the three doubles matches by identical 8-1 scores. The 15 victories surpasses the previous record of 12 set last spring. The CU women have had 16 consecutive seasons with a record of .500 or better. [MATCH RESULTS] CU wins two of three at NCCAA STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (5-8-2001) -- The Lady Jackets opened play at the NCCAA National Invitational with an easy 9-0 victory over Judson College of Alabama. Cedarville lost only five games total throughout the match. [MATCH RESULTS] Olivet Nazarene handed CU a 7-2 setback in the second round. Amy Gregory and Carrie Hartman picked up a 9-7 victory at #1 doubles while the #3 tandem of Diana Locke and Sarah Rogers were 8-1 winners. The Tigers swept the singles including two matches via third-set tiebreakers. [MATCH RESULTS] The Jackets advanced to the consolation match following a 9-0 win over Kentucky Christian.
