Scott VanDerAa has been a mainstay in the Yellow Jackets' pitching rotation during each of his first three years in the program.....enters his senior season as Cedarville's all-time leader with 215 innings pitched.....has made 42 appearances with 36 starts and 18 complete games.....led the team in starts and complete games in all three previous seasons.....posted a 5-6 record with a 6.78 ERA as a junior in 14 appearances with 12 starts and five complete games.....hurled a complete-game one-hitter in a 2-0 win at Bluffton.....tossed a three-hitter in a 7-2 victory over Asbury.

2000 - Earned All-NCCAA Midwest Region honors as a sophomore.....hurled a school-record 95.0 innings with a 6-10 record and a 5.68 ERA.....team leader in appearances (17), starts (16), complete games (8), and strikeouts (52) while walking only 24 batters.....tossed a complete-game 3-1 victory at NAIA nationally-ranked Warner Southern.....spun a four-hit 7-0 win against Oberlin.

1999 - Led the 1999 squad as a freshman with 11 appearances, eight starts, and five complete games.....struck out 35 batters with 23 walks in 49 2/3 innings pitched.....fanned eight in an 8-6 complete-game victory over Rio Grande.....had a 1-8 record, but the Jackets were shutout in three of his losses and scored just one run in two others.

High School - Earned 17 letters total in baseball, wrestling, soccer, cross country, and track while playing on 11 conference championship teams during an outstanding prep career at Winamac High School.....school's career strikeout leader with 245 and was a three-time Most Valuable Pitcher.....Team MVP as a senior and was named all-conference.....three-time conference wrestling champion and copped sectional and regional crowns as a senior en route to finishing eighth in the state.....garnered team MVP honors in wrestling and soccer.....had a 100-20 career wrestling record.

Personal - Spanish Education major at Cedarville University.....born 9/7/79 in Merrillville, IN.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve VanDerAa.....older brother, Nathan, played soccer at Ancilla College and was first athlete in school history to have his jersey number retired.
