He becomes the first Yellow Jacket in 11 years to earn the honor. Zarrilli was also voted to the American Mideast Conference First Team. Matt Reid, who was an All-AMC First Team choice at goalkeeper, was also placed on the NAIA All-America honorable mention list. Named to the All-AMC Second Team were Jon Waldo and Stephen Palmer while Rob Marshall was honorable mention. Kickers finish third at NCCAA KISSIMMEE, Fla. (11-19-2001) -- Cedarville tied Gardner-Webb, 1-1, in the NCCAA consolation game and then claimed third place on penalty kicks. The Yellow Jackets trailed until Peter Dryer netted the tying goal in the 85th minute on assists from Kurt Savage and Jon Waldo. The two squads were still deadlocked through the required five penalty kicks. CU won it on the fourth extra kicker. The Jackets complete the season with a school-record 16 victories. [STATS] Mid-Continent sprints past CU, 4-0 KISSIMMEE, Fla. (11-17-2001) -- No. 1 seed Mid-Continent ended Cedarville's NCCAA championship hopes with a 4-0 victory against the No. 4 Yellow Jackets in a semifinal match. The Cougars led 1-0 at the half and then put the match away with three scores in the second period. Mid-Continent outshot CU 18-13 including a 15-11 edge in shots on goal. (11-16-2001) -- Joe Zuerner found the net in the 60th minute to give No. 4 Cedarville a 1-0 victory against No. 5 Western Baptist in the first round of the NCCAA National Tournament. The rookie forward got his fourth goal of the season on an assist from Brady Carter. Matt Reid nailed down his eighth shutout of the season.
