Kent Ruth is in his third season with the Yellow Jackets with his specialty being the javelin.....threw a career-best 174-10 last spring to win the Northwest Ohio Classic at the University of Findlay.....placed 2nd in the event at the American Mideast Conference (155-5), was 5th at the Indy Relays (168-11), and 8th at the NCCAA (160-4).....AMC runner-up as a freshman with a season-best heave of 174-5.....has also competed in the hammer throw and shot put.....participates in the 35-pound weight throw during the indoor season.

High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country at Oley Valley High School.....earned two letters in volleyball and participated in baseball for two seasons.....state qualifier in cross country.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Carries a management information systems major.....born 11/2/80 in Reading, PA.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Ruth.....has one older sister.
