Justin Gerber is a three-year varsity runner who ran in the #4 position as a junior.....placed 9th in the American Mideast Conference Championship in 27:21 to earn honorable mention honors.....ran a season-low 26:30 for the 8K and finished 18th in the NCCAA Nationals.....was among the team's top seven runners in all eight meets in which he competed.....AMC runner-up on the track in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.....also runs the 5,000 meters. 1999 -- Came on strong at the end of his sophomore season to finish the campaign as the team's #1 runner.....ran back-to-back career-lows of 25:58 in the AMC meet where he placed 5th to earn all-league honors, and he was an NCCAA All-American upon placing 14th.....Cedarville's lone representative at the NAIA Nationals where he finished 73rd of 236 runners in 26:11. 1998 - Appeared in eight varsity meets as a freshman and held down the team's #6 position in his final four performances.....posted a season-low 27:05 at the NCCAA Nationals and had a 27:30 effort at the NAIA Nationals. High School -- Had a five-sport career at Pella Community High School.....garnered 12 letters total in cross country, track, football, basketball, and baseball.....team captain and named to the All-Conference Team in cross country.....member of Class 3A state runner-up squads in basketball and baseball. Personal -- Dean's List student as a Accounting/Finance major at Cedarville University.....born 10/24/79 in Pella, IA.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie Gerber.....has two older sisters who are Cedarville College graduates.....also has a younger brother and a younger sister.
