Melissa Holland joins the Lady Jackets as a transfer from Shawnee State University.....will see action as an outside hitter while providing backup to the middle hitter position.....was a member of the American Mideast Conference First Team in 2000 while leading the league in solo blocks (111).....ranked second in the AMC in attack percentage (.365) and blocks per game (1.55).....registered 390 kills, 191 total blocks, 61 service aces and 254 digs for the Bears last year.

High School -- Lettered in volleyball two years at Reno High School in Nevada.....garnered All-State Second Team honors as a sophomore.....finished her high school career at Chillicothe High School.

Personal -- Pursuing a World Missions degree at Cedarville University......born 1/8/77 in Long Beach, CA.....daughter of Mr. Wayne Holland and Mrs. Patti Day.....has one older sister.
