Feb. 28, SPRING ARBOR (NCCAA Midwest Region Semifinals)
Spring Arbor brought Cedarville's record-setting season to a halt with a 76-72 win in the semifinals of the NCCAA Midwest Regional. The #3 seeded Cougars held the lead for all but 2:30 of the contest and iced the outcome with four free throws in the final 21 seconds. Spring Arbor shot 58 percent from the field in the first half and inflated the difference to as much as 14 points before settling for a 42-34 lead at the intermission. CU, the #2 seed, recovered to take their only lead since 3-0 when Julie Stauffer scored to make it 55-54 at the 10:15 mark. The Cougars then reeled off six straight points and never relinquished the lead. Kari Flunker poured in a game-high 23 points while Kirsten Rossotti posted her 16th double-double of the season with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Stauffer tallied 12 points as the Lady Jackets closed out the campaign with a school-record 23 victories. [STATS]

Feb. 23, at Shawnee State (AMC Tournament Semifinals)
Top seed Shawnee State scored the first five points in overtime and went on to defeat #4 Cedarville, 91-82, in the semifinals of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. A victory would have given CU their first-ever NAIA Division II national tournament berth. Kirsten Rossotti scored with nine seconds left in regulation to force the extra session, but the host Bears, ranked No. 8 in NAIA Division II, recovered to win their 13th straight game. The Lady Jackets bounced back from a nine-point deficit to lead 38-35 at halftime. The game remained close in the second period with the two teams tied seven times. It was the second OT home win of the season for Shawnee State over Cedarville. The Bears have not lost since a 62-60 setback on the Jackets' home court on Jan. 8. Rossotti finished with 23 points for CU while Kari Flunker hit four treys and scored 20. Julie Stauffer netted 16 points and Molly Earley had 12 points with a team-high 10 rebounds. [STATS]

Feb. 21, SAINT VINCENT (AMC Tournament Quarterfinals)
Kirsten Rossotti had 19 points and 10 rebounds as #4 seed Cedarville defeated #5 Saint Vincent, 66-56, in the quarterfinals of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. Following a 27-27 tie at the intermission, the visiting Bearcats moved out to a 38-34 lead early in the second half. However, the Jackets used a 10-point run to take the lead for good in rolling to their fifth straight win. Julie Stauffer scored 17 points, Kari Flunker netted 14, and Molly Earley had 12. CU controlled the boards 45-33 including 20 offensive rebounds. [STATS]

Feb. 16, MALONE
Freshman guard Kari Flunker pumped in a career-high 28 points to lead Cedarville to a 84-63 American Mideast Conference win over NAIA Division II No. 9 Malone. The Lady Jackets scored the first seven points of the game and never trailed in the contest played before an Athletic Center record women's game crowd of 1,333. Kirsten Rossotti scored 18 points and Julie Stauffer added 12. CU drained 11 three-point baskets with five coming from Flunker. The Jackets finished the regular season with 10 wins in their final 11 games. [STATS]

Feb. 14, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Julie Stauffer fired in a career-high 27 points to lead the Lady Jackets to their school-record 21st victory of the season in a 72-62 win over Mount Vernon Nazarene in American Mideast Conference play. Cedarville watched a 17-point lead in the second half dissolve to 59-58 with 4:15 left, but the hosts finished the game on a 13-4 run with Stauffer scoring seven of the points. Kari Flunker netted 11 points, Kirsten Rossotti notched her 14th double-double of the season with 10 points and 13 rebounds, and Molly Earley added 10 points. [STATS]

Feb. 12, NOTRE DAME (Ohio)
The Lady Jackets tied the school record for the most wins in a season at 20 with a 97-51 victory over Notre Dame College in American Mideast Conference action. Cedarville held a 14-13 lead six minutes into the contest and then ripped off 22 unanswered points over the next eight minutes to take command. The 46-point final was the largest advantage of the contest. Kirsten Rossotti scored a game-high 17 points to lead the offense. Tami Gheen came off the bench with 13 points, Beth Bunchkowski produced a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds in a reserve role, and Jamie Huffman netted a career-high 11 points in her first career start. CU had a 61-35 rebounding edge including 27 offensive rebounds. Only two other Lady Jacket squads have won 20 games in a season. The 1988-89 team was 20-10 and the 1994-95 team had a 20-11 mark. Feb. 9, at Ohio Dominican
Kirsten Rossotti pumped in 24 points and Julie Stauffer added 21 as the Lady Jackets dealt American Mideast Conference co-leader Ohio Dominican their first home league setback, 87-75. After the hosts took a 3-2 advantage, Cedarville grabbed the lead for good, upped the margin to 47-39 by halftime, and led by as many as 16 points in the final period. Kari Flunker recorded 16 points with game-highs of seven assists and five steals. Molly Earley tossed in 13 points in what was ODC's first conference loss at home in nine games this season. It was CU's seventh win in their last eight games. [STATS]

Feb. 5, RIO GRANDE
Rio Grande withstood a Cedarville comeback and put a stop to the Lady Jackets' six-game winning streak, 72-58, in an American Mideast Conference contest. The Redwomen scored the first basket of the second half to match their largest lead, 36-19. CU rallied to take their only lead of the period at 51-49 with 6:30 left. The two teams stayed close until Rio scored the game's final 10 points to pull away. Kirsten Rossotti recorded her 13th double-double with game-highs of 23 points and 15 rebounds while Kari Flunker scored 20 of her 22 points in the second half. Cedarville shot a season-low 29 percent from the field and, one game after making a school-record 13 three-pointers, the hosts managed just a 2-for-22 accuracy outside the arc. [STATS]

Feb. 2, WILBERFORCE
Cedarville buried a school-record 13 three-pointers and notched their sixth straight victory with an 85-67 win over Greene County rival Wilberforce in a non-conference contest. Kirsten Rossotti totaled 16 points and 10 rebounds for her 12th double-double of the season. Michelle Patrick hit four treys and scored 14 points, Kari Flunker added four bombs for 12 points with eight assists, and Molly Earley had 10 points. It's the second six-game winning streak of the season for the Lady Jackets. [STATS]

Jan. 31, at Geneva
Kirsten Rossotti posted game-highs of 20 points and nine rebounds to lead the Lady Jackets to their fifth straight victory, 79-64, at Geneva in an American Mideast Conference contest. Cedarville shot 56 percent from the field in the opening half to lead 37-29 at the intermission. CU also hit 56 percent of their shots in the second period and pushed the bulge to as much as 21 points before settling for their 11th win in the past 13 outings. Julie Stauffer had 12 points and six assists, Kari Flunker tallied 11 points with a game-high seven assists, and Molly Earley scored 10 points. [STATS]

Jan. 26, at Roberts Wesleyan
The Lady Jackets ended Roberts Wesleyan's eight-game winning streak with their fourth straight victory, 68-54, in an American Mideast Conference contest. Cedarville led 35-26 at the half, but the Raiders closed the gap to five points early in the second period before CU pushed the lead back out to as much as 61-43. Kirsten Rossotti posted her 11th double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Julie Stauffer recorded 13 points, six assists, and four steals while Molly Earley chipped in 10 points. Jan. 25, at Daemen
Cedarville needed a 29-7 run to overcome an 11-point second-half deficit for a 97-88 victory at Daemen in American Mideast Conference action. CU found themselves in a 70-59 hole against the hot-shooting Warriors with 11:30 to play before exploding on the decisive spurt over the next 10 minutes. Julie Stauffer poured in a career-high 26 points with five assists to lead the offense. Kirsten Rossotti tallied 21 points with 10 rebounds and Kari Flunker added 20 points with a game-high seven steals. Molly Earley had 12 points and eight boards as the Lady Jackets won for the third straight time. [STATS]

Jan. 22, URSULINE
Kirsten Rossotti scored 21 points as Cedarville moved to 6-0 at home in the American Mideast Conference with a 73-36 win over Ursuline. The Lady Jackets closed the first half with a 20-7 run and then scored the first 11 points of the second period to blow the game open. Kari Flunker contributed 14 points, nine assists, and seven steals. All 14 Cedarville players in uniform played and 11 scored. CU possessed a 47-36 rebounding edge and held the Arrows to just 23 percent shooting from the field. The Jackets have won eight of their past ten games. [STATS]

Jan. 19, TIFFIN
Kirsten Rossotti had 33 points with a career-high 17 rebounds as Cedarville remained unbeaten at home in the American Mideast Conference with a 92-87 overtime win versus Tiffin. Freshman guard Kari Flunker, who finished with a career-high 24 points to go along with six assists and six steals, scored the first basket in the extra period to give the Jackets the lead for good. Julie Stauffer fired in 20 points and matched Flunker's 4-for-7 showing outside the three-point line. CU struggled to put away a Dragon team which came in looking to end a nine-game losing streak. Cedarville led by as many as 17 points in the first half and never lost the lead even though Tiffin rallied to tie three times in the second period. [STATS]

Jan. 17, at Urbana
Urbana rallied from a five-point halftime deficit to knock off the Lady Jackets, 69-65, in an American Mideast Conference game. Cedarville held a 37-32 lead at the intermission, but then made just 6-of-20 shots from the field in the second half. The Blue Knights led by as much as nine points in the final period, CU got as close as 63-62 with 1:45 left, and then could not get the equalizer. Kirsten Rossotti racked up 22 points and again matched her career-high on the boards with 16 rebounds. Kari Flunker tallied 16 points. [STATS]

Jan. 15, CENTRAL STATE
Central State, ranked No. 7 in NAIA Division I, improved to 15-0 with a 73-62 victory over the Lady Jackets. The Lady Marauders bolted to a 15-point first-half lead, but CU ended the period with ten unanswered points to close the gap to 36-31 by the intermission. The Jackets never gained the lead even though they tied the contest, 41-41, with 16:15 left. A 10-2 spurt by CSU gave the visitors the lead for good and the final score was the largest difference. Kirsten Rossotti finished with 19 points and 13 rebounds for Cedarville. Molly Earley scored 13 points and Kari Flunker added 10 points with eight assists. [STATS]

Jan. 12, HOUGHTON
Freshman guard Kari Flunker's double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds paced the Lady Jackets to their sixth consecutive victory with a 70-61 decision over Houghton in an American Mideast Conference game. Cedarville extended a two-point halftime lead to as much as 44-34 early in the second period. The Highlanders closed the difference to one point on two occasions the last of which was 57-56 with 6:10 left. Flunker hit a three-pointer and a couple of free throws coming down the stretch to ice the victory. Kirsten Rossotti scored 16 points and Julie Stauffer added 15 for the Lady Jackets. [STATS]

Jan. 8, SHAWNEE STATE
Julie Stauffer and Kirsten Rossotti scored 16 points each as Cedarville rallied for a 62-60 win over six-time defending American Mideast Conference champion Shawnee State, who entered the game ranked No. 7 in NAIA Division II. The Lady Jackets faced a 55-43 deficit with 8:35 left before charging back for their fifth consecutive victory. Rossotti scored eight points during a 19-3 run over the next five minutes to key the win. Kari Flunker hit all three of her three-point attempts and scored 11 points with a game-high five assists. Michelle Patrick came off the bench with a trio of treys and 11 points. Cedarville made 7-of-10 three-pointers and shot 48.1 percent from the field overall in the decisive second half. [STATS]

Jan. 5, WALSH
Julie Stauffer and Kari Flunker scored 15 points each as the Lady Jackets beat American Mideast Conference foe Walsh, 65-48, for their fourth straight win on a night senior co-captain Pattie Schryer decided to end her career. Cedarville led 29-20 at halftime, but struggled to put away the Cavaliers until the final 4:30 by outscoring the visitors 13-2 to finish the game. Kirsten Rossotti tallied 14 points and matched her career-high with 16 rebounds while Molly Earley added 12 points. Schryer tried to bounce back from a knee injury she suffered at Rio Grande on Nov. 27. She missed six straight games before starting and playing nine minutes at Wilberforce on Jan. 3. She was allowed to start one last time and played the first 30 seconds versus Walsh since agreeing to season-ending knee surgery. She was on track to become CU's all-time three-point field goal leader, but ends with 138 treys which is 16 short of the all-time mark. Her 58 bombs last year is the school record for a season. Jan. 3, at Wilberforce
Julie Stauffer scored 22 points to lead the Lady Jackets to a 88-65 win at Wilberforce for their third consecutive victory. Cedarville shot 61 percent from the field in rolling out to a 42-26 halftime lead and finished with a 57 percent accuracy for the game. Molly Earley scored a season-high 18 points while Kirsten Rossotti added 15. [STATS]

Dec. 18, Seton Hill
Beth Bunchkowski came off the bench to score a season-high 16 points as Cedarville closed out the 2001 portion of their schedule with a 71-59 win at Seton Hill in American Mideast Conference action. The Lady Jackets jumped out to a 37-19 halftime by holding the Spirit without a free throw and to 25.8 percent shooting from the field in the opening 20 minutes. Julie Stauffer netted 15 points, Kirsten Rossotti notched her fifth double-double of the season with 12 points and 16 rebounds which matched her career high. Molly Earley tossed in 10 points. Dec. 15, at Point Park
Kirsten Rossotti scored 24 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Cedarville to a convincing 76-49 victory at Point Park in an American Mideast Conference game. The Lady Jackets bolted to a 40-20 halftime lead and were never threatened as they ended a two-game losing streak. Julie Stauffer netted 14 points and dished out five assists while Molly Earley tossed in 10 points. Cedarville held a commanding 51-40 rebounding edge and all 12 Jacket players who saw action scored in the contest. [STATS]

Dec. 13, at Shawnee State
NAIA Division II No. 1 Shawnee State got a 30-foot bomb at the overtime buzzer to beat the Lady Jackets, 67-64, in an American Mideast Conference game. Cedarville held a 64-60 lead with 1:40 left in the extra session, but the Bears, who are the six-time defending AMC champions, rallied by scoring the final seven points of the contest. The Jackets were in command practically from the opening tip by leading 32-20 at halftime and then 36-20 with 17:15 remaining. SSU charged back to lead by as many as five points in the final minutes, but Kirsten Rossotti scored a short hook in the lane as time expired to send the game into overtime. Rossotti finished with 19 points, Kari Flunker had 18, and Julie Stauffer chipped in 10. [STATS]

Dec. 11, at Bethel
NAIA Division II No. 5 Bethel pulled away in the second half for a 79-63 non-conference victory over the Lady Jackets. The host Pilots held a 32-29 halftime lead, but they used an eight-point spurt early in the final frame for a 44-33 advantage. Cedarville could get no closer than eight points the rest of the way. Julie Stauffer tallied 11 points with four assists while Kirsten Rossotti added 10 points. [STATS]

Dec. 8, CARLOW
Julie Stauffer scored 20 points to lead four Lady Jacket players in double figures as CU defeated Carlow, 81-73, for their first American Mideast Conference victory of the season. The Lady Jackets opened up a 13-point lead in the first half, but the Celtics closed the gap to five by halftime. Carlow took the lead twice in the second period the last of which was 62-61 at the 6:30 mark. Cedarville scored the next seven points and the visitors got no closer than four points down the stretch. Kari Flunker had 19 points with a game-high seven assists while Kirsten Rossotti produced 18 points and 12 rebounds. Molly Earley joined Rossotti with a double-double by scoring 10 points and pulling down a game-high 13 boards. [STATS]

Dec. 1, at Saint Vincent
Kirsten Rossotti fired in 28 points, but Saint Vincent dealt the Lady Jackets their second straight American Mideast Conference setback, 74-66. The Bearcats held a 44-31 halftime lead and scored the first basket of the second half to inflate the bulge to 15 points. CU got the deficit to single digits midway through the frame, but got no closer than 62-55 with 6:20 left. Kari Flunker netted 15 points for Cedarville with Julie Stauffer providing a double-double consisting of 12 points and 12 rebounds. [STATS]

Nov. 27, at Rio Grande
NAIA Division II No. 20 Rio Grande pulled away in the second half for a 92-73 American Mideast Conference victory over the Lady Jackets which ended CU's four-game winning streak. The Redmen finished the first half with an 8-2 spurt for a 47-43 halftime lead and kept the advantage at five points or more throughout the second period. A 16-5 flurry over the final four minutes accounted for the final. Kirsten Rossotti scored 20 points to pace four Cedarville players in double figures. Freshman guard Kari Flunker had 18 points in her first collegiate start while Julie Stauffer and Molly Earley chipped in 10 points each. [STATS]

Nov. 20, at Bluffton
Kirsten Rossotti scored 22 points and became the 10th Lady Jacket to surpass 1,000 career points as Cedarville rolled to an 83-60 non-conference win at Bluffton. CU ran off the last nine points of the first half for a 42-23 lead. The host Beavers closed the gap to 12 midway through the final period, but an 18-4 Lady Jacket spurt increased the advantage to the largest of the contest, 71-45, with 6:15 to play. Rossotti needed 19 points to reach the milestone and did so in her third season at CU. Julie Stauffer produced 17 points and seven assists, Kari Flunker came off the bench with three treys and 14 points, and Molly Earley added 12 points. [STATS]

Nov. 17, Kentucky Christian (Grace Classic)
Kirsten Rossotti netted 20 points to lead the Lady Jackets to their third consecutive victory with a convincing 87-49 decision over Kentucky Christian in the final round of the Grace Classic. Cedarville led 38-27 at the break and then blew the Knights away 49-22 in the final period. Julie Stauffer scored 15 points while Kari Flunker provided 12 more off the bench. CU made 21-of-27 free throws and forced 28 turnovers. Rossotti was named MVP and Molly Earley was also voted to the all-tournament team. [STATS]

Nov. 16, Concordia (Grace Classic)
Kirsten Rossotti scored 25 points to lead Cedarville to a 74-54 win versus Concordia in the opening round of the Grace Classic. The Lady Jackets held a slim 37-33 lead at the intermission, but they outscored the Cardinals 37-21 in the second period. Kari Flunker provided 11 points off the bench and Molly Earley chipped in 10. Nov. 13, at Taylor
Julie Stauffer fired in 25 points and Cedarville overcame a 13-point deficit for an 80-72 overtime victory at Taylor in non-conference action. The host Trojans, pre-season ranked No. 18 in NAIA Division II, led 32-19 before CU scored the final nine points of the first half. The Jackets twice had a six-point advantage in the second period, but Taylor bounced back to force the extra session. Cedarville, who converted 19 of 24 free throws for the the game, buried 10 of 13 charity tosses in the overtime. Kirsten Rossotti tallied 17 points and 14 rebounds, freshman guard Kari Flunker drained a trio of three-point baskets and scored 15 while Molly Earley added 10 points with nine boards. [STATS]

Nov. 10, MADONNA (Cedarville Invitational)
Madonna battled back from a 17-point deficit and scored with one second left to upend the Jackets, 78-76, in the finals of the Cedarville Invitational. CU held a 37-20 advantage with 2:15 left in the first period before settling for a 37-22 halftime spread. However, the Crusaders needed just 6:30 to take the lead and increase it to as much as 68-58 with 5:25 to play. The Jackets hustled back for a three-point spread, but Madonna closed the game with a 6-1 spurt culminating in the game-winner. Kirsten Rossotti tallied 27 points and 11 rebounds to earn a spot on the all-tournament team along with Pattie Schryer, who netted 16 points. Julie Stauffer had 16 points and Molly Earley grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds. [STATS]

Nov. 9, TENNESSEE TEMPLE (Cedarville Invitational)
The Lady Jackets cruised to a 91-48 victory over Tennessee Temple in the first round of the Cedarville Invitational giving new head coach Kirk Martin a win in his collegiate debut. The hosts took a 45-24 halftime lead and immediately pulled away in the second period. Kirsten Rossotti paced five CU players in double figures with game-highs of 19 points and nine rebounds. Julie Stauffer netted 15 points, Pattie Schryer and Tami Gheen scored 12 each, and Kari Flunker chipped in 10. [STATS]
