CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- Michelle Ruhlman finished her CU soccer career as a four-time NCCAA All-American. The senior midfielder repeated as a member of the First Team despite missing 10 games with injuries during the 2001 season. Ruhlman, who was voted to the American Mideast Conference First Team, was named the Lady Jacket MVP during each of her four seasons.
Spring Arbor halts CU season, 2-0
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. (11-10-2001) -- Spring Arbor scored twice in the first half and held off Cedarville, 2-0, in the NCCAA Midwest Region finals. The Cougars got goals in the 11th and 35th minutes. CEDARVILLE, Ohio (11-6-2001) -- Jane Adams scored two goals and Melissa Fawcett posted her school-record seventh shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Grace in an NCCAA Midwest Region semifinal match. Amber Bungart got the scoring underway in the 22nd minute with Amanda Porter assisting. It stayed that way until Adams scored unassisted in the 59th minute. She got her second goal by finishing off a corner kick from Michele Flow in the 85th minute. [STATS] |
