Nov. 10, at Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Spring Arbor scored twice in the first half and held off Cedarville, 2-0, in the NCCAA Midwest Region finals. The Cougars got goals in the 11th and 35th minutes. The hosts outshot the Jackets, 17-14, including an 11-8 edge in shots on goal. [STATS]

Nov. 6, GRACE (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Jane Adams scored two goals and Melissa Fawcett posted her school-record seventh shutout of the season in a 3-0 win over Grace in an NCCAA Midwest Region semifinal match. Amber Bungart got the scoring underway in the 22nd minute with Amanda Porter assisting. It stayed that way until Adams scored unassisted in the 59th minute. She got her second goal by finishing off a corner kick from Michele Flow in the 85th minute. [STATS]

Nov. 3, at Malone (AMC Playoffs)
American Mideast Conference champion and top seed Malone shutout Cedarville, 6-0, in the opening round of the AMC playoffs. The Pioneers, ranked No. 16 in the NAIA, scored four times in the first half to take command. The hosts outshot the Jackets 23-18 including a 15-9 edge in shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 30, SHAWNEE STATE
Jennifer Rock converted a penalty kick in the 93rd minute to give Cedarville a 1-0 overtime victory against Shawnee State and lock down an AMC playoff berth. The two teams combined for only five shots on goal through regulation play and the Jackets were awarded the PK when Rock was taken down in the box. It was her fifth goal of the season. Melissa Fawcett posted her sixth shutout while making two saves. [STATS]

Oct. 26, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Mount Vernon Nazarene beat the weather and took advantage of a depleted CU roster for a 1-0 American Mideast Conference win. It was the first time CU has been shutout this season. The Cougars got the only goal they needed in the 30th minute of the match played in windy conditions that drove the wind chill down into the teens. MVNC outshot the Jackets 17-1 and held the hosts without a shot on goal. The bigger story now for Cedarville is who isn't playing. Leading scorer Jane Adams, who has 10 goals and 11 assists, is the latest to hit the sidelines with an injury. She joins all-time leading scorer and three-time NCCAA All-American Michelle Ruhlman, Cindy Probus, and Alicia Anderson as starters on the injured list. [STATS]

Oct. 24, URBANA
Cedarville and Urbana battled to a 2-2 tie in double overtime in an American Mideast Conference match. The Lady Jackets never trailed after Jennifer Rock scored in the 8th minute on an assist from Jane Adams. The match was tied 1-1 at the intermission following an Urbana goal in the 15th minute. CU regained the lead when Adams scored from Melissa Thompson in the 72nd minute, but the Blue Knights got the equalizer eight minutes later. The Jackets held a 21-18 shot advantage including a 5-1 margin in the two 15-minute overtime periods. The contest was played a day later than originally scheduled due to lightning. [STATS]

Oct. 20, at Geneva
Jane Adams tallied two goals and an assist to lead the Lady Jackets to a 5-1 win at Geneva for their fifth consecutive American Mideast Conference victory. The sophomore forward converted a penalty kick in the 5th minute to get the scoring underway. After Geneva tied the match in the 25th minute, Adams set up Jennifer Rock five minutes later for what was the eventual game-winning goal. Cedarville tacked on three more goals in the second half. Karissa Waldron netted her first of the year on assists from Melissa Thompson and Michele Flow for a 3-1 lead. Adams scored her second goal on an assist from Amanda Porter, who also assisted on the fifth CU goal by Karin Nyhuis. [STATS]

Oct. 19, at Carlow
Cedarville scored the first two goals and then held on for a 2-1 American Mideast Conference victory at Carlow. Jane Adams found the net with an assist from Jennifer Rock in the 6th minute and it was 1-0 at the intermission. Jennifer Walker scored with Amber Bungart assisting in the 48th minute for a 2-0 lead, but the Celtics got on the board in the 78th minute. Melissa Fawcett made three saves to preserve the win. Oct. 16, WITTENBERG
Wittenberg netted four unanswered goals to beat host Cedarville, 5-1, in a non-conference match played in brutal weather conditions. The Tigers got on the board first in the 7th minute, but CU responded in the 17th minute when Jennifer Rock scored from Alicia Anderson. Wittenberg tacked on two more before the half and clinched the outcome with two goals in the second period. The game was played in extremely wet conditions with wind chills around 20 degrees. The Jackets were without the services of all-time leading scorer and three-time NCCAA All-American Michelle Ruhlman, who is out with a knee injury, as well as All-AMC First Team performer Cindy Probus, who is lost for the season with a head injury. Oct. 13, ROBERTS WESLEYAN
Cedarville scored three times in the first eight minutes and cruised to a 5-2 American Mideast Conference victory over Roberts Wesleyan in the annual Homecoming match. Jane Adams had two goals and one assist with Michelle Ruhlman adding two goals in what was the third straight win for the Lady Jackets. Ruhlman headed in a corner kick from Adams in the 6th minute to get the scoring underway and then scored again in the 8th minute unassisted. Adams found the net just 27 seconds later with an assist from Amber Bungart and then tallied her second goal in the 24th minute. CU took a 5-0 lead into the intermission after Melissa Thompson scored her first career goal in the 31st minute from Jessie Gasiorowski. [STATS]

Oct. 12, URSULINE
Michelle Ruhlman tallied three goals and one assist as Cedarville coasted to a 6-0 victory over Ursuline in an American Mideast Conference match. The senior midfielder along with Amanda Porter set up CU's first goal which was tucked in by Lisa Hockenberry in the 6th minute. Ruhlman and Michele Flow added unassisted goals before the intermission. Ruhlman scored twice four minutes apart in the second half with the second one assisted by Alicia Anderson. Jennifer Rock completed the scoring with an unassisted goal in the 89th minute. Melissa Fawcett made two saves in goal while posting her fifth shutout of the season. [STATS]

Oct. 5, WALSH
Amanda Porter scored two goals, including the gamewinner in the 87th minute, to give Cedarville a 3-2 win over Walsh in American Mideast Conference action. Porter got the scoring underway in the 32nd minute on an assist from Jane Adams. Walsh got the equalizer in the 42nd minute when CU accidentally deflected a Cavalier corner kick into their own net. Michelle Ruhlman headed in a pass from Adams in the 65th minute and Walsh tied the match at 2-2 three minutes later before Porter's unassisted winner. The Jackets had a 26-7 shot advantage including a 15-6 margin in shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 3, at Ohio Dominican
The Lady Jackets went down to their third straight defeat in a 2-1 loss at Ohio Dominican in an American Mideast Conference match. The Panthers scored in the 4th minute and then took a 2-0 advantage in the 59th minute. Cedarville got on the board when Alicia Anderson found the net in the 79th minute with an assist from Michelle Ruhlman. The Jackets outshot the hosts 19-11 including a 10-6 margin in shots on goal. Sept. 29, at Seton Hill
Host Seton Hill netted the deciding goal in the 74th minute to edge the Lady Jackets, 2-1, in American Mideast Conference action. The Spirit led 1-0 at the intermission with a score in the 33rd minute. Michelle Ruhlman got the equalizer in the 64th minute on assists from Jane Adams and Amber Bungart. [STATS]

Sept. 25, at Tiffin
Three-time defending American Mideast Conference champion Tiffin exploded for a 7-1 win over the Lady Jackets. The Dragons are unbeaten in 31 AMC matches since women's soccer became a league sport in 1998. Cedarville got on the board first when Jane Adams scored in the 10th minute. TU scored four times in a 15-minute span before the intermission to take command. [STATS]

Sept. 22, SAINT VINCENT
Amanda Porter scored late in the first half and goalkeeper Melissa Fawcett stopped four shots to preserve a 1-0 American Mideast Conference win over Saint Vincent. Porter intercepted a clearing pass from the Bearcats and tucked away her third goal of the season in the 44th minute. Fawcett made four saves, all in the second half, en route to her fourth shuout. Sept. 18, at Otterbein
Otterbein scored with nine minutes left in the second overtime to defeat Cedarville, 2-1, in a non-conference match. The outcome ended a three-match unbeaten string for the Lady Jackets. The two squads scored 30 seconds apart in the 31st minute of the contest. The host Cardinals got on the board first before CU's Michelle Ruhlman tied the score with an unassisted goal. Ottebein had a 17-13 edge in shots for the game. [STATS]

Sept. 15, at Houghton
Jane Adams scored the first goal of the match and Melissa Fawcett made five saves to help Cedarville to a 1-1 tie at NAIA No. 16 Houghton in American Mideast Conference play. Adams found the net in the 8th minute on an assist from Michelle Ruhlman, who was playing her first match since suffering a head injury in the season opener. It was just the second goal allowed by Houghton this season. The Highlanders tied the match in the 17th minute and neither team scored the rest of the match including two 15-minute sudden death overtime periods. [STATS]

Sept. 14, at Daemen
Cedarville posted their second straight shutout with a 3-0 American Mideast Conference victory at Daemen. The Jackets scored twice in the first half on goals from Chelsea Casto and Jane Adams while Amanda Porter added another goal in the second period. Adams and Natalie Fox provided the assists, and Melissa Fawcett made six saves in goal. [STATS]

Sept. 8, NOTRE DAME
Three different Lady Jackets scored goals and CU limited Notre Dame College to one shot in a 3-0 American Mideast Conference victory. Alicia Anderson headed in the first goal on assists from Jane Adams and Amanda Porter in the 12th minute. Amber Bungart provided some insurance by deflecting in a shot from Karin Nyhuis in the 56th minute. Lisa Hockenberry closed out the scoring in the 89th minute with Adams assisting. Melissa Fawcett posted the shutout in goal. CU recorded 14 shots on goal and did not allow the Falcons shot until four minutes left. [STATS]

Sept. 7, MALONE
Malone rallied for three unanswered goals in a 3-1 American Mideast Conference victory over Cedarville. The host Lady Jackets got on the board first when Amanda Porter headed home a corner kick from Jane Adams in the 17th minute. The score was 1-1 at the intermission following a Pioneer goal in the 35th minute. Malone scored twice in the first six minutes of the second half to claim the win. Cedarville played without the services of three-time NCCAA All-American Michelle Ruhlman who was on the sidelines with a head injury suffered in the season opener. [STATS]

Sept. 1, at Taylor
Sophomore forward Jane Adams scored one goal and added an assist to lead Cedarville to a 2-0 non-conference victory at Taylor in their season opener. She scored on an assist from Michelle Ruhlman to give the visitors a 1-0 lead heading into halftime. Adams and Jennifer Rock set up an insurance goal from Alicia Anderson to secure the win. Melissa Fawcett made four saves in goal for the Lady Jackets, who outshot Taylor 19-5 for the match. [STATS]
