T.J. Couch is a key member of the Yellow Jacket pitching staff, who is used both as a starter and closer.....appeared in 20 games with 7 saves last spring....led the pitching staff with 38 strikeouts in 31.1 innings pitched....named to the American Mideast Conference Second Team as a reliever.....repeat selection to the All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team. 2001 - Assembled an outstanding freshman campaign.....posted a 1-2 record in 17 appearances, 15 coming in relief, with a team-low 3.67 ERA and six saves which led the American Mideast Conference.....All-AMC First Team selection as a relief pitcher.....voted to the NCCAA All-Midwest Region Team.....struck out 32 batters in 34 1/3 innings pitched with just seven walks.....tossed a complete-game six-hitter to beat Asbury, 10-5, in the regular season finale. High School - Graduated from Calvary Christian Academy with three letters in baseball during a four-year career.....two-time team Most Valuable Player.....posted career numbers of 11 home runs and a .425 batting average.....established a 1.80 ERA on the mound.....tossed a no-hitter with 20 strikeouts in one game as a senior.....averaged 14.5 points per game in basketball as a senior and was selected his team's best defensive player.
