Matt Schroeder returns to the Cedarville baseball program after sitting out last season due to injury.....played in 32 games with 26 starts as an outfielder/DH two years ago.....second on the squad by drawing 11 base on balls.....also appeared in 10 games with seven starts on the mound.....posted a 3-4 record with a 4.66 earned run average.

2000 - Led the Yellow Jackets in hitting during his rookie season with a .326 batting average.....ranked 9th in the AMC with a team-high 12 doubles to go along with four triples, a homer, and 18 RBI.....started 39 of the 42 games in which he played and batted either first or second in the order.....rated 2nd in the AMC with 17 steals in 18 attempts.....twice stole three bases in a game.....recorded a team-high 13 multi-hit games.

High School - Prepped at Highland High School where he was awarded two letters each in baseball and basketball and one more in soccer.....voted to the all-league and all-county first teams as a junior and was a second team selection in both as a senior.....played for two Suburban League championship basketball teams.

Personal - Electrical Engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 10/24/80 in Akron, OH.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Schroeder.....has one younger brother and a younger sister.
