Drew Borton begins competition with the Yellow Jackets after sitting out last season as a "red shirt".....expected to make an immediate contribution in the middle.....four-year member of the basketball team and two-year letter winner at Class 5A Klein High School near Houston.....averaged 12 points and 10 rebounds per game as a senior.....named to the all-district first team and to the academic all-state team.....selected to the all-district second team as a junior and was recognized by Houston Hoops magazine as the one of the top 50 juniors in the state.....team posted a 25-9 record in 1999-2000 and qualified for the Texas Class 5A playoffs.....possesses three years of AAU basketball experience and played in the 1998 AAU Nationals in Orlando.....National Honor Society student.
