Nov. 15, at Rio Grande (NAIA Region IX Semifinals)
NAIA No. 1 ranked Rio Grande broke a 1-1 tie with two goals in the final 20 minutes for a 3-1 victory over Cedarville in the semifinals of the Region IX Final Four. The Redmen got on the board first in the 59th minute, but the Jackets answered in the 67th minute when Andy Levesque netted his third goal of the season with Peter Dryer and Andrew Belleman assisting. However, Rio needed only one minute to regain the lead for good and then added an insurance goal in the 87th minute. [STATS]

Nov. 9, at Notre Dame (Ohio) (AMC Qualifier)
Jon Waldo scored in the 77th minute and Matt Reid stopped five shots en route to his sixth shutout of the season as the Jackets shocked Notre Dame (Ohio), 1-0, in an American Mideast Conference post-season qualifying game. Waldo broke the scoreless tie with his 16th goal of the season and his ninth game-winner with Phillip Ellis assisting. Cedarville made the goal stand up to gain a berth in the NAIA Region IX Final Four. The host Falcons, winners of the AMC North Division and a 2-1 victor at CU on Oct. 19, outshot the Jackets 14-3 including a 5-2 edge in shots on goal. Reid extended his career shutouts record to 17. Nov. 2, DAEMEN
Jon Waldo scored two goals and assisted on another in a six-minute span late in the second half to pace Cedarville to a 3-0 win versus Daemen in the regular season finale. The two teams were scoreless until Waldo netted his team-high 14th goal of the season in the 77th minute. He scored his second goal of the contest in the 81st minute on an assist from Matt Green and then set up a goal by Alex Benedict in the 83rd minute. Matt Reid made three saves while posting his 16th career shutout and fifth of the campaign. The outcome ended a three-match losing skid for the Yellow Jackets. [STATS]

Oct. 30, at Urbana
Urbana posted a 2-0 victory to hand the Yellow Jackets their third straight setback in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. It was the second straight shutout suffered by the CU offense which has been outscored 8-1 during the three-game slide. Urbana scored goals in the 53rd and 89th minutes despite being outshot 19-10 for the contest. However, only nine shots total were on goal with the Jackets credited with five and the Blue Knights with four. [STATS]

Oct. 26, TIFFIN
Tiffin made the most of its few scoring opportunities and handed Cedarville its first shutout loss of the season, 4-0, in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The Dragons put six shots on goal and scored on four of them while CU managed just three shots on net. In overall shots, the Jackets held a 14-10 edge. Tiffin got the only goal they needed in the 27th minute, but it was goals in the 44th and 46th minutes that put the visitors in command. TU completed the scoring in the 85th minute. [STATS]

Oct. 19, NOTRE DAME (Ohio)
Notre Dame College used two early goals to beat the Yellow Jackets, 2-1, in a non-conference match involving American Mideast Conference members. The Falcons scored twice within a span of 45 seconds when the match was barely seven minutes old to take control. Despite playing a man down for the final 75 minutes due to a red card, NDC limited Cedarville to just one shot on goal. That occurred when Tyler Schumacher headed home a corner kick by Stephen Palmer in the 87th minute. Both teams managed 10 shots apiece and the visitors put five on goal. The outcome ended CU's four-match winning streak and was the first at their new home complex in four matches. [STATS]

Oct. 18, MARIAN
Andrew Belleman scored his first career goal and Matt Reid notched his second straight shutout as Cedarville held off Marian, 1-0, in a non-conference night game. Belleman, the son of second-year head coach Ben Belleman, redirected a pass from Matt Green into the net in the 34th minute for the lone goal of the match. Reid made five saves in goal for his fourth shutout of the season. [STATS]

Oct. 15, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Stephen Palmer scored on an assist from Phillip Ellis in the 34th minute and goalkeeper Matt Reid recorded his third shutout of the season in a 1-0 victory at Mount Vernon Nazarene in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. Palmer cleaned up a loose ball in the box for his second goal of the season and it held up. Reid was credited with nine saves in goal. [STATS]

Oct. 12, OLIVET NAZARENE
The Yellow Jackets broke a 1-1 tie with three goals in a span of 10 minutes of the second half for a 4-1 non-conference victory over Olivet Nazarene in the annual Homecoming match. The contest, played under the lights before an estimated 1,500 fans, was deadlocked at the intermission as the Tigers scored in the 5th minute and Jon Waldo responded in the 10th minute on a Peter Dryer assist. Cedarville then put the match away with three straight goals beginning with Waldo, who netted what would become his seventh game-winning tally of the season, on an assist from Stephen Palmer in the 49th minute. Phillip Ellis scored in the 58th minute with Dryer and Palmer assisting. Tyler Schumacher cleaned up an unassisted goal just 49 seconds later to complete the scoring. Matt Reid made four saves in goal. [STATS]

Oct. 8, OHIO DOMINICAN
Cedarville rallied for a 3-1 victory over American Mideast Conference South Division foe Ohio Dominican before an overflow crowd in the first men's night game ever played on campus. The Panthers found the back of the net first in the 12th minute, but Jon Waldo got the equalizer in the 43rd minute when he lobbed in a 30-yarder from near the right sideline that appeared to slip through the keeper's hands. It stayed 1-1 until Phillip Ellis headed home the eventual game-winner on a quick restart by Stephen Palmer. John Sommer finished the scoring in the 89th minute with Tyler Schumacher assisting. Matt Reid made three saves in goal during 75 minutes of play and Joel Reemtsma saw action for 15 minutes in the first half. It was the first night men's match held at CU's new soccer/track & field complex located at the north edge of the campus. [STATS]

Oct. 2, at Rio Grande
NAIA No. 3 Rio Grande scored three times in the first 15 minutes en route to a 5-1 victory over Cedarville in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The Yellow Jackets got on the board in the 30th minute when freshman midfielder Phillip Ellis tallied his fifth goal of the season on an assist from Alex Benedict. It stayed 3-1 until the host Redmen scored two more times in the final seven minutes. [STATS]

Sept. 28, SHAWNEE STATE
NAIA No. 16 Cedarville got two goals and three assists from Jon Waldo in a 7-0 win versus Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference South Division opener. The junior forward started the scoring early with an unassisted goal in the 4th minute. Stephen Palmer set up Alex Benedict for his first career goal in the 21st minute, and then Palmer and Waldo assisted on Joe Zuerner's first tally of the season in the 35th minute for a 3-0 halftime lead. Waldo scored unassisted again in the second period, assisted on a score by Brian Vance, and teamed up with Benedict for assists on a goal by Phillip Ellis for a 6-0 lead. Bob Cassity completed the scoring in the 70th minute by heading in a corner kick by Zuerner. Matt Reid and Joel Reemtsma combined for the shutout. The Yellow Jackets put 21 shots on goal compared to just two for the visiting Bears. Overall, Cedarville held a 31-4 shot advantage. [STATS]

Sept. 23, FINDLAY
Unbeaten Findlay handed the Yellow Jackets their first loss of the season with a 2-1 victory in Cedarville's home opener. The Oilers, 4-0-2 overall, broke a scoreless tie with a goal in the 59th minute and then received a break by converting a penalty kick eight minutes later. The Jackets got on the board in the 86th minute when Peter Dryer scored his first goal of the season with Tyler Schumacher assisting. Findlay held a 17-6 shot advantage with an 11-3 edge in the second half alone. The outcome ended Cedarville's best start in school history with all seven wins coming on the road. [STATS]

Sept. 14, at Walsh
Andy Levesque scored twice and Matt Reid posted his second shutout in leading the Yellow Jackets, 7-0 overall, to a 2-0 victory at Walsh. Levesque netted his first goal of the match and the season in the 25th minute with Alex Benedict providing the assist. It stayed 1-0 until he scored again in the 84th minute on assists from Matt Green and Brian Vance. Reid was credited with seven saves as each team put seven shots on goal. The seven-match winning streak is one victory shy of the school record set in 1973. [STATS]

Sept. 13, at Malone
Jon Waldo scored his fifth game-winning goal of the year and Cedarville established a new record for the most consecutive victories to start the season by rallying for a 2-1 victory at Malone. The Pioneers got on the board first in the 15th minute and the Jackets got the equalizer on a goal by Phillip Ellis in the 25th minute with Peter Dryer assisting. The match remained in a 1-1 tie until Waldo netted his eighth goal of the season and 40th of his career in the 75th minute on assists from Ellis and Alex Benedict. CU is unbeaten through their first six matches which breaks the previous mark of five set in 1999. Ironically, all six victories have come on the road. [STATS]

Sept. 7, at Taylor
Jon Waldo netted three goals to lead the Yellow Jackets to a 4-0 non-conference win at Taylor for their fifth straight victory. He scored in the 19th and 26th minutes on assists by John Sommer and Phillip Ellis, respectively, for a 2-0 halftime lead. Waldo finished his "hat trick" in the 54th minute with Brian Vance assisting. Sommer completed the scoring three minutes later on a penalty kick. Matt Reid and Joel Reemtsma combined for the shutout. Cedarville put eight shots on goal compared to three for Taylor. [STATS]

Sept. 6, at Indiana Wesleyan
Phillip Ellis scored in the 82nd minute to give the unbeaten Yellow Jackets a 1-0 non-conference victory at Indiana Wesleyan. Jon Waldo, who netted the game-winner in each of the first three matches, got the assist on the goal which was the second of the season for Ellis. Matt Reid made four saves in goal to post his first shutout of the season and upped his school career record total to 12. Cedarville owned a 26-7 shot advantage including a 9-4 edge in shots on goal. Sept. 3, at Wittenberg
Jon Waldo netted his third straight game-winning goal, this time in overtime, to lead the Jackets to a 3-2 victory at Wittenberg. The junior forward scored in the 97th minute on an assist from Todd Beall which gave CU its first win over the Tigers since 1985. Waldo had assists on the first two goals that allowed the visitors to take a 2-0 halftime lead. Stephen Palmer got the scoring underway in the 14th minute which also included an assist from Tim Thomson. Brady Carter scored in the 34th minute, yet Wittenberg added two goals in the second half which forced the extra session. [STATS]

Aug. 31, at Grace
Jon Waldo scored twice as Cedarville rallied from an early deficit to post a 2-1 non-conference victory at Grace. The host Lancers found the net in the 5th minute, but Waldo got the tying goal five minutes later with Stephen Palmer assisting. The junior forward recorded his second game-winner in as many matches in the 31st minute on an assist from John Sommer. Cedarville had a 17-7 shot advantage including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. Matt Reid was credited with two saves. [STATS]

Aug. 29, at Georgetown
Jon Waldo scored the game-winner in the 84th minute and freshman Phillip Ellis had a goal and an assist as the Yellow Jackets began the season with a 2-1 non-conference win at Georgetown. CU scored both goals in the air off headers with Ellis getting the scoring underway in the 28th minute on assists from Brian Vance and Tim Thomson. The host Tigers got the equalizer two minutes before intermission for a 1-1 tie at the half. Ellis and Stephen Palmer set up Waldo's winner as the Jackets successfully embarked on their season-opening seven-match road swing. Cedarville held a 16-5 edge in shots and goalkeeper Matt Reid made three saves. [STATS]
