Alan Bruder returns for his fourth season with the Yellow Jackets.....ran among the team's top four finishers in five out of seven outings during the 2001 season.....matched his career-best time of 26:45 in the 8K at the Wilmington Invitational and placed 7th overall.....finished 27th of 149 runners at the NCCAA Nationals in 27:02.....CU's top finisher in the All-Ohio Championship placing 76th in 27:42.....NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete. 2000 - Picked up his second letter with the Yellow Jackets and finished the 2000 season in the #5 position.....ran a career-best 26:45 and placed 9th overall at the Wilmington Invitational.....finished 15th in the American Mideast Conference Championship in 27:38. 1999 - Saw action in five varsity meets during his first collegiate season and was among CU's top seven runners three times.....team's #6 finisher with a season-best time of 26:53 at the Wilmington Invitational.....squad's #6 runner in his collegiate debut at Rio Grande. High School - Four-year letter winner in both cross country and track & field at Ogemaw Heights High School.....all-state cross country runner as a senior and three-time Academic All-State.....was all-conference first team as a junior and senior and earned second team honors as a sophomore.....member of three league championship teams and two regional title squads.....three-time conference track champion.....school was state track runner-up twice, won the regional four times, and the conference three times during his career. Personal - Dean's Honor List student as a management information systems and accounting major.....born 5/20/81 in Kalamazoo, MI.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bruder.....has one younger brother and a younger sister.
