Justin Whitaker is one of three four-year runners on the Yellow Jacket roster.....finished last fall as the team's #5 runner.....one of three athletes to see action in every meet.....ran a career-low 27:22 for the 8K at the Wilmington Invitational.....CU's #3 finisher and placed 26th overall at the American Mideast Conference Championship in 27:25.....named to the All-AMC Team in track after being part of winning 4 x 800 meter relay squad for the third straight year. 2001 - Saw varsity action in six varsity meets as a sophomore.....posted a career-best 27:29 for the 8K at the Wilmington Invitational and placed 25th overall.....finished 20th at the Greensboro Invitational in 28:07 and was 23rd at the AMC Championship in 28:11.....specialized in the 1,500 meters during the outdoor track & field season.....placed 5th in the event at the AMC meet in 4:05.70 and was 7th at the NCCAA Nationals in 4:05.72. 1999 - Appeared in five varsity meets as a freshman.....recorded a season-best time of 27:56 at the Friendship Invitational.....turned in a 27:59 effort as the team's #8 runner at the AMC meet.....ran the 800 and 1,500 meters for the outdoor track team. High School - Earned four letters in cross country and three more in track at Dayton Christian High School.....regional qualifier in cross country and was four-time All-Conference in track.....All-State track runner as a senior in the 1,600 meters by placing 5th in the finals.....member of state runner-up 4 x 800 meter relay team.....recorded career bests of 1:57 in the 800 meters and 16:23 in the 5K.....ran on same high school team as classmate Josh Mark.
