Nov. 15, Mount Vernon Nazarene (AMC Tournament
Mount Vernon Nazarene finished Cedarville's season with a 30-27, 38-40, 30-26, 30-25 decision in the second round of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. Melissa Holland tallied 25 kills and Paula Thompson added 20. Courtney Williams totalled 37 digs and Carrie Hartman racked up 54 assists which gives her 1,669 assists for the season to break the previous record of 1,619 set by Lori Bunger in 2000. [STATS]

Nov. 15, Seton Hill (AMC Tournament
Cedarville defeated Seton Hill 30-11, 30-19, 30-24 in the first round of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. Melissa Holland put down 15 kills and became the ninth player in CU volleyball history to surpass 1,000 career kills needing just two seasons to accomplish the feat. Carrie Hartman had 38 assists while Courtney Williams was credited with 11 digs. [STATS]

Nov. 9, at Malone
Host Malone rallied from a 2-1 deficit to knock off Cedarville in five games during an American Mideast Conference South Division match to close out the regular season. The Pioneers won by scores of 30-25, 29-31, 28-30, 30-26, 17-15. Melissa Holland pounded 26 kills while Lauren Mable added 19 kills with 21 digs. Primary setter Carrie Hartman was unable to play so rookie Kelsey Jones stepped in and responded with a career-high 49 assists. Courtney Williams totalled 21 digs and Paula Thompson had 18. [STATS]

Nov. 8, at Walsh
American Mideast Conference South Division champion and NAIA No. 16 Walsh rolled by Cedarville 30-18, 30-19, 30-23 in league action. Melissa Holland put down 15 kills while Lauren Mable chipped in nine kills and seven digs. Carrie Hartman registered 27 assists with 11 digs and Courtney Williams came through with 12 digs. [STATS]

Nov. 5, at Ohio Dominican
Cedarville rolled to a 30-23, 30-19, 30-24 win at Ohio Dominican in American Mideast Conference South Division play. Melissa Holland put away 16 kills to lead the attack and Lauren Mable added 12. Carrie Hartman recorded 44 assists and Paula Thompson had 16 digs. It was the eighth straight conference win for the Lady Jackets. [STATS]

Nov. 1, Master's (NCCAA National Tournament)
No. 5 seed Master's finished No. 8 Cedarville's stay at the NCCAA National Tournament with a 30-20, 30-19, 30-27 decision. Melissa Holland had 10 kills, Carrie Hartman produced 25 assists, and Courtney Williams recorded 19 digs. Holland was named to the NCCAA All-Tournament Team and to the NCCAA All-America Second Team. Nov. 1, Olivet Nazarene (NCCAA National Tournament)
The No. 8 seed Lady Jackets took No. 1 and defending champ Olivet Nazarene to the limit before losing in five games at the NCCAA National Tournament. ONU rallied to edge Cedarville 26-30, 30-18, 31-33, 30-21, 15-13. Paula Thompson put down 15 kills, Melissa Holland buried 14, and Lauren Mable totalled 13 kills with 19 digs. Carrie Hartman dished out 49 assists while Courtney Williams had 18 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 31, Pensacola Christian (NCCAA National Tournament)
The No. 8 seed Lady Jackets rebounded from an opening-round loss for a 3-1 win over No. 9 Pensacola Christian during the first day at the NCCAA National Tournament. The winning numbers for Cedarville were 30-24, 28-30, 30-16, 30-12. Paula Thompson and Melissa Holland pounded 15 kills each to lead the attack. Carrie Hartman tallied 45 assists and 14 digs. Oct. 31, Union TN (NCCAA National Tournament)
No. 4 seed Union TN dealt the No. 8 Lady Jackets a 30-20, 30-26, 28-30, 31-29 setback in the opening match of the NCCAA National Tournament. Melissa Holland provided 14 kills while Lauren Mable had 13 kills and 16 digs. Carrie Hartman added 37 assists and eight kills. [STATS]

Oct. 29, CENTRAL STATE
Cedarville served up a school-record 22 aces en route to a convincing 30-10, 30-7, 30-15 decision over Central State in the Lady Jackets' final home match of the season. Melissa Holland put away a team-high 14 kills, but the hosts scored almost one-fourth of their points on service aces from four players. Carrie Hartman had six aces to go along with 24 assists and eight kills while Kathy Godinez tallied six aces. Paula Thompson had five aces and seven kills with five more aces coming from Kelsey Jones. The previous school record for the most aces in one match was 18 set back in 1993 versus Shawnee State. Cedarville heads to the NCCAA Nationals with a five-match winning streak. The Jackets have won 12 of their last 13 matches and 15 of the past 17. [STATS]

Oct. 26, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Cedarville went the distance to outlast host Mount Vernon Nazarene in an American Mideast Conference South Division match by scores of 30-26, 27-30, 30-23, 28-30, 15-13. It was the Jackets' first win over MVNU in three tries this fall. Paula Thompson recorded 24 kills and Carrie Hartman posted a triple-double of 11 kills, 59 assists, and 13 digs. Lauren Mable produced 17 kills with 17 digs, Melissa Holland was good for 15 kills, Richelle Clem put away 12 kills, and Courtney Williams added 23 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 26, Rio Grande (at Mount Vernon Nazarene)
The Lady Jackets defeated Rio Grande for the second time this season 30-19, 25-30, 30-19, 30-32, 15-5 in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. Paula Thompson ripped a career-high 25 kills to go along with 17 digs. AMC kills leader Melissa Holland pounded 21 kills while Lauren Mable added 13 kills and 17 digs. Carrie Hartman handed out 68 assists and Courtney Williams tallied 25 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 24, URBANA
Richelle Clem and Paula Thompson pounded 14 kills each to lead Cedarville to a three-game sweep over Urbana in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. Melissa Holland added 13 kills to a balanced attack for the Lady Jackets, who won by scores of 30-28, 30-23, 30-28. Carrie Hartman contributed 41 assists and 10 digs while Courtney Williams added 18 digs. The spikers have won nine of their last ten matches and 12 out of the last 14. [STATS]

Oct. 21, at Tiffin
Melissa Holland buried 19 kills to lead Cedarville to a three-game sweep at Tiffin in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The Lady Jackets won by scores of 30-25, 30-20, 31-29 to avenge a 3-2 loss to the Dragons on Sept. 28 at Shawnee State. Paula Thompson provided 14 kills while Carrie Hartman tallied 46 assists. Lauren Mable was good for 22 digs and Courtney Williams added 20. [STATS]

Oct. 19, at Indiana Wesleyan (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Cedarville finished as the runner at NCCAA Midwest Region after losing to No. 1 ranked Indiana Wesleyan. The host Wildcats had their hands full with the Lady Jackets before prevailing 30-16, 36-34, 28-30, 30-24 for their third win over CU this fall. Melissa Holland had 24 kills, Carrie Hartman totalled 42 assists, and Lauren Mable had 16 digs. Holland, Hartman, and Courtney Williams were all voted to the NCCAA Midwest Region All-Tournament Team. Oct. 19, Grace (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
The Jackets beat Grace for the third time this season in their second match at the NCCAA Midwest Regional. The Jackets won by scores of 30-18, 30-20, 30-26. Melissa Holland maintained her hot hitting with 15 kills. Carrie Hartman handed out 39 assists and Courtney Williams registered 12 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 18, Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Regional)
Cedarville defeated Spring Arbor 30-24, 30-17, 26-30, 30-16 in their first match at the NCCAA Midwest Regional hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. Melissa Holland pounded 24 kills to lead the attack and Lauren Mable added 14 kills with 13 digs. Carrie Hartman tallied 54 assists and Paula Thompson put away 11 kills. It was the Lady Jackets' sixth straight win and their ninth in the past ten matches. [STATS]

Oct. 15, OHIO DOMINICAN
Cedarville received a scare from Ohio Dominican in American Mideast Conference South Division play, but survived to edge the Panthers in five games. The Yellow Jackets won by scores of 28-30, 30-20, 22-30, 30-12, 15-13. Carrie Hartman recorded a triple-double consisting of 10 kills, 47 assists, and 12 digs. Melissa Holland paced the attack by pounding 20 kills while Paula Thompson added 14. [STATS]

Oct. 12, MALONE
Cedarville came up with an impressive 30-27, 31-29, 30-21 win versus Malone in American Mideast Conference South Division action during Homecoming. Melissa Holland buried 21 kills, Paula Thompson pounded 16, and Lauren Mable tallied 12 kills and 29 digs. Carrie Hartman totalled 43 assists and 12 digs with Courtney Williams recording 19 digs. Cedarville has won seven matches in the last eight outings. [STATS]

Oct. 12, TENNESSEE TEMPLE
The Lady Jackets swept non-conference foe Tennessee Temple 30-20, 30-24, 30-23 to open play on Homecoming behind 21 kills from Melissa Holland. Paula Thompson added seven kills while Carrie Hartman registered 40 assists. [STATS]

Oct. 10, at Shawnee State
Melissa Holland pounded 21 kills to lead Cedarville to a 3-1 victory at Shawnee State in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The winning scores for the Lady Jackets were 30-27, 25-30, 30-20, 30-20. Lauren Mable ripped 11 kills with 20 digs while Paula Thompson produced 10 kills and 19 digs. Carrie Hartman piled up 48 assists as the spikers won for the fifth time in the past six matches. [STATS]

Oct. 8, at Central State
The Lady Jackets coasted to a 30-13, 30-12, 30-16 non-conference win at Central State. Richelle Clem put away 10 kills to lead a balanced attack. Paula Thompson and Melissa Holland buried nine kills apiece while Carrie Hartman dealt out 35 assists. [STATS]

Oct. 5, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
The Lady Jackets were in good shape against four-time defending American Mideast Conference champion Mount Vernon Nazarene during AMC South Division play in the Athletic Center. However, the Cougars rallied to win the last two games to take the match 21-30, 30-25, 25-30, 30-28, 15-11. Melissa Holland pounded 30 kills to lead the attack. Paula Thompson buried 15 kills with Lauren Mable totalling 13 kills and 23 digs. Carrie Hartman collected 55 assists and 25 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 5, RIO GRANDE
Cedarville swept aside Rio Grande 30-20, 30-24, 30-15 in an American Mideast Conference South Division match played in the Athletic Center. Melissa Holland pounded 14 kills while Paula Thompson was credited with 13 kills and nine digs. Carrie Hartman had 41 assists and Courtney Williams responded with 17 digs. [STATS]

Oct. 1, at Urbana
Melissa Holland put away 12 kills and Cedarville rolled to an impressive three-game sweep at Urbana in American Mideast Conference South Division action. The Jackets dominated from the outset and went on to win by scores of 30-17, 30-22, 30-14. Carrie Hartman racked up 34 assists, Paula Thompson tallied nine kills, and Lauren Mable chipped in nine digs. [STATS]

Sept. 28, at Shawnee State
The Lady Jackets rebounded with a 30-20, 32-30, 30-22 American Mideast Conference South Division victory over Shawnee State. Erica Paugh stepped into the line-up and responded with a career-high 17 kills while Melissa Holland drilled 13 more. Carrie Hartman was good for 42 assists and Courtney Williams totalled 16 digs. Sept. 28, Tiffin (at Shawnee State)
Tiffin surprised Cedarville in a five-game American Mideast Conference South Division match played at Shawnee State. CU dropped the first two games and came back to win the next two before falling in the fifth and deciding game. The winning scores for the Dragons were 30-28, 30-27, 17-30, 20-30, 16-14. Melissa Holland hammered a school-record 38 kills in 60 attempts with just two errors for an impressive .600 attack percentage. Carrie Hartman set another school record with 69 assists while Lauren Mable had 28 digs. Holland's output ecliped the mark of 32 kills set by Amy Zehr in 1992 and Hartman bettered Lori Bunger's previous assist record of 68 set two years ago. [STATS]

Sept. 27, WALSH
Unbeaten and NAIA No. 10 Walsh swept host Cedarville in the Jackets' American Mideast Conference South Division opener. The Cavaliers, 15-0 overall, won by scores of 30-17, 30-27, 30-18. Melissa Holland ripped 14 kills for host CU while Carrie Hartman came up with 25 assists and 13 digs. Lauren Mable and Courtney Williams added 11 digs each. [STATS]

Sept. 24, TAYLOR-FORT WAYNE
Melissa Holland pounded 14 kills to lead the Lady Jackets to a three-game sweep over Taylor-Fort Wayne. The Lady Jackets won by scores of 30-16, 30-18, 30-21. Lauren Mable produced 10 kills and eight digs, Paula Thompson tallied nine kills, and Carrie Hartman handed out 37 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 21, Saint Xavier (Indiana Wesleyan Invitational)
Saint Xavier defeated the Jackets 30-26, 30-19, 25-30, 30-16 in the final match of the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational. Melissa Holland pounded 11 kills and Lauren Mable had nine kills and 17 digs. Courtney Williams took over the setter position and posted 26 assists while Carrie Hartman recorded 18 digs. [STATS]

Sept. 21, Georgetown (Indiana Wesleyan Invitational)
Georgetown rolled to a 30-21, 30-28, 30-16 win over CU in the first match of the day at Indiana Wesleyan. Lauren Mable produced 10 kills with 19 digs for Cedarville. Melissa Holland added nine kills while Carrie Hartman had 27 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 20, Mount Vernon Nazarene (Indiana Wesleyan Invitational)
Fellow American Mideast Conference member Mount Vernon Nazarene swept the Lady Jackets at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational. The winning scores for the Cougars were 30-28, 30-26, 30-27. Lauren Mable buried 11 kills to go along with 19 digs for CU. Paula Thompson had 11 kills, Melissa Holland added 10, and Carrie Hartman totalled 31 assists and 14 digs. [STATS]

Sept. 14, Michigan-Dearborn (Huntington Invitational)
The Lady Jackets completed the three-match sweep with a 22-30, 30-15, 30-10, 30-20 victory against Michigan-Dearborn to finish second in the Huntington Invitational. Melissa Holland ripped 17 kills while Lauren Mable supplied 11. Carrie Hartman racked up 33 assists and Courtney Williams added 15 digs. Holland and Hartman were voted to the All-Tournament Team. Sept. 14, Grace (Huntington Invitational)
Cedarville swept Grace 30-22, 31-29, 30-18 as Melissa Holland pounded 20 more kills. Lauren Mable had 13 kills, Carrie Hartman dished out 42 assists, and Courtney Williams returned 20 digs. [STATS]

Sept. 14, at Huntington (Huntington Invitational)
The Lady Jackets hung on to beat host Huntington in the first match of the day 19-30, 30-26, 30-23, 28-30, 15-13. Melissa Holland buried 19 kills, Lauren Mable tallied 12 kills and nine digs, and Carrie Hartman added 40 assists with 14 digs. [STATS]

Sept. 13, Taylor (Huntington Invitational)
Taylor cruised by the Lady Jackets in three straight games to open the Huntington Invitational. The Trojans won by scores of 30-19, 30-28, 30-19. Melissa Holland pounded 15 kills for CU while Lauren Mable added 11. Carrie Hartman totalled 31 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 10, at Wilmington
Freshman outside hitter Lauren Mable tallied 10 kills with 12 digs to lead Cedarville to a 30-14, 30-18, 30-15 non-conference victory at Wilmington. Melissa Holland buried 11 kills, Carrie Hartman had 29 assists and seven digs, and Courtney Williams added 10 digs. [STATS]

Sept. 7, INDIANA WESLEYAN (15th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Indiana Wesleyan swept CU 30-27, 32-30, 30-14 in the semifinals of the 15th Annual Cedarville Invitational. Melissa Holland had 12 kills and Richelle Clem added 11. Paula Thompson registered 12 digs and Carrie Hartman had 26 assists. Holland, Thompson, and Hartman were voted to the all-tournament team. [STATS]

Sept. 7, MOUNTAIN STATE (15th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Cedarville swept Mountain State 30-17, 30-23, 30-23 to complete opening round play in the 15th Annual Cedarville Invitational. Melissa Holland recorded 15 kills and six blocks to lead the way. Lauren Mable buried 10 kills and Carrie Hartman was good for 37 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 6, INDIANA WESLEYAN (15th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Indiana Wesleyan held on to beat CU 30-24, 26-30, 30-25, 30-26 in the Jackets' third match of the day. Richelle Clem ripped a career-high 17 kills with 13 more coming from Melissa Holland. Lauren Mable had 13 digs while Carrie Hartman dished out 32 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 6, CORNERSTONE (15th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
Cornerstone took three straight from the Jackets 30-19, 30-28, 30-25. Lauren Mable pounded nine kills with 19 digs, Melissa Holland had eight kills, and Courtney Williams recorded 14 digs. Carrie Hartman racked up 22 assists. [STATS]

Sept. 6, GRACE (15th Annual Cedarville Invitational)
The Lady Jackets swept Grace in their first match in the 15th Annual Cedarville Invitational by scores of 30-26, 30-28, 30-23. Leading the attack was Melissa Holland with 13 kills. Lauren Mable recorded 12 kills and 14 digs while Richelle Clem added 10 kills. Carrie Hartman tallied 40 assists. [STATS]

Aug. 31, Webber International (at Warner Southern)
The Lady Jackets completed their Florida trip unbeaten in three matches after sweeping Webber International 30-13, 30-13, 30-15. Melissa Holland registered 12 kills with three blocks, Carrie Hartman had 22 assists, and Paula Thompson tallied six blocks and six digs. [STATS]

Aug. 31, at Warner Southern
Cedarville defeated host Warner Southern 30-13, 30-19, 30-25. Melissa Holland buried 11 kills with Carrie Hartman handing out 24 assists. Lauren Mable recorded 11 digs and Courtney Williams added 10. [STATS]

Aug. 30, at Clearwater Christian
Cedarville opened its 2002 volleyball season in Florida by sweeping host Clearwater Christian in three games. The Lady Jackets won by scores of 30-19, 30-23, 30-23. Melissa Holland and rookie Lauren Mable led a balanced attack with nine kills each while Paula Thompson added eight. Carrie Hartman supplied 16 assists, Courtney Williams tallied nine digs with eight apiece coming from Mable and Becca Argento. [STATS]
