Davidson honored by NCCAA
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Danielle Davidson has been named to the 11-member All-NCCAA Midwest Region Team for the 2002 season. The senior defender, who served as a co-captain for the second straight year, started all 77 matches that Cedarville played during her four-year career. Davidson is the school's career record holder for most matches played and started.

Jackets nipped 2-1 in region final
SPRING ARBOR, Mich. (11-16-2002) - Defending champion Spring Arbor held on for a 2-1 victory over Cedarville in the NCCAA Midwest Region championship game. The Cougars scored in the 3rd minute and the score remained 1-0 until halftime. SAU took a two-goal lead in the 48th minute before Emily Arimura found the net for the Jackets on an assist by Nicole James. Cedarville held a 15-10 shot advantage including a 13-8 margin in shots on goal. Melissa Fawcett tallied six saves for Cedarville. [STATS]

CU beats Grace, 2-1;
advances to NCCAA regional final

WINONA LAKE, Ind. (11-12-2002) - Nicole James scored twice in a three-minute span late in the match as Cedarville rallied for a 2-1 win at Grace in an NCCAA Midwest Regional semifinal match. The Lancers scored in the 39th minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. James tied the match in the 72nd minute with Katie Walter assisting. She scored her team-high seventh goal and her first game-winner of the season in the 75th minute on assists from Natalie Fox and Katie Thompson. Melissa Fawcett was the winning goalkeeper and made seven saves. Cedarville, who opened the season with a 4-2 loss at Grace in August, held a 21-10 shot advantage including a decisive 11-2 margin in the second half. The Jackets play for the Midwest Region champion on Saturday at top seed and defending champion Spring Arbor. [STATS]

Jackets sting Daemen, 4-0
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (11-2-2002) - Katie Thompson netted two goals as the Lady Jackets wrapped up the regular season with a convincing 4-0 victory over Daemen. Krista Watson got the scoring underway in the 9th minute on an assist from Nicole James. James then set up Thompson's first goal just 49 seconds into the second half. Danielle Davidson and Alicia Anderson got the assists on Thompson's second score in the 68th minute. Laura Radcliffe netted a goal in the 89th minute with Christie Zimmerman assisting. Cedarville outshot the Warriors 18-1 and three separate goalkeepers combined for the shuout. [STATS]
