Nov. 16, at Spring Arbor (NCCAA Midwest Region Championship)
Defending champion Spring Arbor held on for a 2-1 victory over Cedarville in the NCCAA Midwest Region championship game. The Cougars scored in the 3rd minute and the score remained 1-0 until halftime. SAU took a two-goal lead in the 48th minute before Emily Arimura found the net for the Jackets on an assist by Nicole James. Cedarville held a 15-10 shot advantage including a 13-8 margin in shots on goal. Melissa Fawcett tallied six saves for Cedarville. [STATS]

Nov. 12, at Grace (NCCAA Midwest Region Semifinals)
Nicole James scored twice in a three-minute span late in the match as Cedarville rallied for a 2-1 win at Grace in an NCCAA Midwest Regional semifinal match. The Lancers scored in the 39th minute for a 1-0 halftime lead. James tied the match in the 72nd minute with Katie Walter assisting. She scored her team-high seventh goal and her first game-winner of the season in the 75th minute on assists from Natalie Fox and Katie Thompson. Melissa Fawcett was the winning goalkeeper and made seven saves. Cedarville, who opened the season with a 4-2 loss at Grace in August, held a 21-10 shot advantage including a decisive 11-2 margin in the second half. The Jackets play for the Midwest Region champion on Saturday at top seed and defending champion Spring Arbor. [STATS]

Nov. 2, DAEMEN
Katie Thompson netted two goals as the Lady Jackets wrapped up the regular season with a convincing 4-0 victory over Daemen. Krista Watson got the scoring underway in the 9th minute on an assist from Nicole James. James then set up Thompson's first goal just 49 seconds into the second half. Danielle Davidson and Alicia Anderson got the assists on Thompson's second score in the 68th minute. Laura Radcliffe netted a goal in the 89th minute with Christie Zimmerman assisting. Cedarville outshot the Warriors 18-1 and three separate goalkeepers combined for the shuout. [STATS]

Oct. 30, SHAWNEE STATE
Cedarville dominated the play, but the Lady Jackets had to settle for a 0-0 double overtime tie with Shawnee State in American Mideast Conference South Division action. CU outshot the Bears 20-9 for the match including a 12-1 spread in the second half. The Jackets had a 13-4 margin in shots on goal. Melissa Fawcett played the first half in goal and made three saves. Jessica Balser handled the second half plus the two 10-minute overtime periods with one save to her credit. It was the fourth scoreless tie in Cedarville's six-year soccer history. [STATS]

Oct. 26, at Earlham
Melissa Thompson and Nicole James registered goals while Jessica Balser notched her first career shutout to lead Cedarville to a 2-0 non-conference win at Earlham. Thompson got the scoring underway in the 21st minute with an assist from Krista Watson. James netted her team-leading fifth goal of the season in the 47th minute with Christie Zimmerman assisting. Balser received her second start in goal and made three saves. [STATS]

Oct. 22, at Urbana
Urbana scored twice in the first 15 minutes and went on to shutout Cedarville, 2-0, in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The Blue Knights got all they needed in the 8th minute before adding an insurance goal seven minutes later. Urbana held an 8-4 shot advantage, but the Lady Jackets failed to put a shot on goal. Oct. 19, at Walsh
Emily Arimura scored her first career goal and Melissa Fawcett posted her second shutout of the season as the Lady Jackets blanked Walsh, 1-0, in American Mideast Conference South Division action. Laura Radcliffe set up Arimura's goal in the 65th minute and Cedarville held on for their first AMC win with Fawcett making four saves. CU, now 5-0-1 all-time against Walsh, outshot the Cavaliers 12-6 including a 9-4 advantage in shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 15, INDIANA WESLEYAN
Indiana Wesleyan won for the eighth consecutive time in a 4-0 non-conference victory at Cedarville. The Wildcats scored in the 6th minute and received a boost by finding the net again with just 24 seconds left in the first half. Goals in the 57th and 65th minutes put the match away. IWU held the Jackets without a shot on goal until midway through the second half. [STATS]

Oct. 12, TAYLOR
Cedarville and Taylor scored all six goals in the first 37 minutes and then held one another off for a 3-3 non-conference tie on Homecoming Saturday. Candi Jelinek needed just 43 seconds to put CU on the board first unassisted and Katie Thompson made it 2-0 in the 10th minute on an assist from Alicia Anderson. Taylor responded with three unanswered goals before Nicole James completed the scoring in the 37th minute with Natalie Fox assisting. The two teams then went scoreless for the final 53 minutes of regulation and a pair of 10-minute sudden death overtimes. CU held a 25-14 shot advantage overall and a 15-9 edge in shots on goal. Melissa Fawcett made six saves in goal. [STATS]

Oct. 8, OHIO DOMINICAN
The Lady Jackets hold the distinction of hosting the first night contest on campus, but Ohio Dominican spoiled the party with a 2-0 American Mideast Conference South Division victory. The Panthers broke a scoreless tie with an unassisted goal in the 78th minute before adding their insurance goal 10 minutes later. ODU had a 9-5 shot advantage placing five shots on goal compared to Cedarville's two. It was the first-ever event held at CU's new soccer/track & field complex located at the north edge of the campus. [STATS]

Oct. 2, at Mount Vernon Nazarene
Mount Vernon Nazarene broke a scoreless tie with two late goals to beat the Lady Jackets, 2-0, in American Mideast Conference South Division action. The Cougars came through with a goal in the 76th minute and then needed just 2:10 to get their second score. CU goalkeeper Melissa Fawcett was credited with 11 saves. [STATS]

Sept. 28, MARIAN
Candi Jelinek scored the first three goals of her career as Cedarville cooled off Marian, 4-1, in a non-conference match. The rookie midfielder found the net in the 6th minute on an assist from Danielle Davidson. After the Knights tied the match in the 19th minute, Jelinek struck again in the 33rd minute with Nicole James assisting. She completed the "hat trick" two minutes later on a set-up by Karin Nyhuis. It stayed 3-1 until Melissa Thompson scored her first goal of the season in the 52nd minute by putting away a shot just inside the post following a scramble in the box. The Jackets held a convincing 25-3 shot advantage including a 14-2 edge in shots on goal. Marian, 6-3-1, entered with a four-match winning streak. [STATS]

Sept. 25, at Wittenberg
Alicia Anderson's goal in the 108th minute gave Cedarville a 2-1 non-conference victory in double overtime at Wittenberg. The host Tigers got on the board first in the 16th minute and their 1-0 advantage stood up until the second half. Katie Thompson netted her first collegiate goal in the 68th minute which eventually forced the extra sessions leading up to Anderson's game-winner. Melissa Thompson assisted on both goals. Jessica Balser received her first career start in goal and made five saves. CU leads the all-time series with Wittenberg, 3-2, and the outcome continued the trend of the visiting team winning each time. [STATS]

Sept. 21, at Malone
Defending American Mideast Conference champion Malone scored twice in the second half for a 2-0 victory over Cedarville in an AMC South Division contest. The Pioneers got all they needed with a goal in the 63rd minute before netting an insurance tally in the 75th minute. Malone outshot the Jackets 12-10 with an 8-3 edge in shots on goal. Melissa Fawcett made six saves in goal for Cedarville. [STATS]

Sept. 19, OTTERBEIN
Krista Watson converted a penalty kick in the 55th minute and Cedarville hung on for a 1-0 non-conference win over Otterbein. Katie Walter was taken down in the box and Watson was called upon to attempt the PK. Melissa Fawcett made six saves in the first half and Jessica Balser played the second frame in goal with one save. Both teams were credited with 10 shots with the Cardinals putting seven shots on goal compared to four for CU. [STATS]

Sept. 14, at Oberlin
Laura Radcliffe, playing in her first collegiate match, scored twice to lead the Lady Jackets to a 2-0 victory at Oberlin. The freshman forward was on the sidelines with an ankle injury for the first four contests, but responded with a goal in the 60th minute on an assist from Chelsea Casto. Radcliffe answered again with three minutes left with Alicia Anderson and Nicole James assisting. Melissa Fawcett made five saves and picked up her first shutout of the season. [STATS]

Sept. 11, TIFFIN
Tiffin made the most of its opportunities in rolling to a 5-0 victory over Cedarville in a American Mideast Conference South Division opener for both schools. The Dragons held a slim 19-16 shot advantage including an 11-7 edge in shots on goal. TU got on the board in the 8th and 25th minutes, but a goal with just 20 seconds left in the first half made it 3-0 at the intermission. The Jackets planted a shot off the crossbar early in the second period before Tiffin put the match away with scores in the 58th and 81st minutes. [STATS]

Sept. 7, OHIO NORTHERN
Alicia Anderson tallied two goals and an assist as Cedarville withstood an Ohio Northern comeback for a 4-3 non-conference victory. The senior midfielder set up Nicole James in the 35th minute for the game's first goal. After ONU tied it, Anderson scored back-to-back goals and Chelsea Casto added another for a 4-1 lead. The Polar Bears found the net twice in the final 20 minutes to make it close. [STATS]

Sept. 3, SETON HILL
Nicole James had a goal and an assist as Cedarville took control in the second half for a 3-0 victory over Seton Hill. Following a scoreless first half, Chelsea Casto found the net in the 52nd minute with Krista Watson assisting. James scored unassisted 11 minutes later and then set up a goal by Karin Nyhuis in the 84th minute to complete the scoring. Melissa Fawcett logged the first 87 minutes of the match in goal and made six saves. [STATS]

Aug. 31, at Grace
Grace outscored Cedarville 4-2 in a non-conference season opener for the Lady Jackets. All six goals were scored in the first half. Freshman Nicole James netted the first CU goal of the season while classmate Katie Walter followed with the other. Melissa Fawcett was credited with five saves in goal. [STATS]
