Jen Roman, who was 17-1 at #6 singles this spring, set a new school record with 52 career singles wins.

Four players gain post-season honors
CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Four Lady Jacket tennis players have been recognized for their 2003 accomplishments including Carrie Hartman, who was presented the Sportsmanship Award at the NCCAA National Tournament. She was also named an NCCAA All-American in both singles and doubles to go along with American Mideast Conference honors in singles. Joining Hartman on the NCCAA All-America unit were Jodi Kraker in singles and doubles as well as Bethany Staten and Sarah Rogers in doubles. Kraker and Staten also picked up All-AMC recognition in both singles and doubles. Rogers, Diana Locke, and Gretchen Vuurens were selected NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athletes. Roman sets record as CU ends season at NAIA Nationals
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. (5-12-2003) - Jen Roman established a new school mark for career singles victories as the Lady Jackets dropped a 7-1 decision to Berry at the NAIA National Tournament. Roman notched an 8-6 win at #6 singles for Cedarville's lone point. She finishes her career with 52 victories which surpasses the 51 set last year by Amy Gregory. [STATS]

CU finishes 2-3 against tough NCCAA field
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (5-7-2003) - No. 3 seed Olivet Nazarene rolled to a 5-1 win over No. 4 Cedarville in the final match of the NCCAA National Tournament. The contest was played indoors at the Springfield Racquet Club due to rain. The Jackets scored their point at #1 doubles on an 8-6 decision by Jodi Kraker and Sarah Rogers The Tigers clinched the match with points at #3, #4, and #5 singles. [STATS]
