    Rachael Castro returns to the Lady Jackets following an incredible rookie season as a pole vaulter......earned both NAIA and NCCAA All-America honors in 2002.....placed 2nd at the NAIA Track & Field Championships with a vault of 11-feet 11.75-inches which broke her own school record by a foot.....finished 3rd at the NCCAA National Meet by clearing 10-feet 11.75-inches.....captured 1st place in the American Mideast Conference with a mark of 10-feet.....won the Denison Indoor Invitational, Denison Indoor Qualifier and the Butler Outdoor Invitational.

    High School - Member of the National Honor Society at Abington Heights High School.....won the school’s Musical Performance Award in flute.....competed for seven years in gymnastics before attending Cedarville.....member of the USAG Junior Olympic National Team.

    Personal - Early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 3/14/83 in Fairborn, OH.....daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Castro.....has two older sisters and a younger brother.
