Katie Rulapaugh continues the recent trend of outstanding race walkers at Cedarville University.....placed was 3rd in the 3,000 meter race walk at the 2003 NAIA Indoor Championships fin 16:17.34 for All-America honors.....last spring, posted a season-low 16:00.30 in the 3K race walk at the Wilmington Invitational last spring season.....finished 11th at the NAIA Outdoor Championships with a 16:54.4 effort in the 3K.....also placed 11th at the NAIA Indoor Championships with a time of 16:02.61......season-best effort of 15:57.13 earned a 2nd-place finish in the 3,000 meters at the Alltell Invitational......posted a 3rd-place finish at the Bearcat Classic with 30:46.0 effort in the 5,000 meter race walk..... NAIA All-America Scholar-Athlete, NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete, and American Mideast Conference Scholar-Athlete.....four-year member of the Lady Jackets' nationally-ranked cross country team that won the 2001 NAIA championship. 2001 - Finished 8th in the 3K racewalk at the NAIA Indoor Championships as a sophomore.....had a season-low time of 15:57.13 during the indoor season. 2000 - Earned NAIA All-America honors in the indoor 3K with a runner-up time of 15:03.92.....walked to a 5th-place finish in the Penn Relays 5K in 26:38.92. High School - Four-time state qualifer in cross country and track & field for Sheffield-Chapin/Meservey-Thornton High School.....four-year letter winner in both sports.....earned a spot on the Iowa All-State Academic Cross Country Team.....member of two North Central Conference championship track teams.....three-time USA Track & Field Junior All-American in the racewalk.....placed second in the Junior Division 5K walk (25:07) at the 1999 Penn Relays.....class valedictorian. Personal - Dean's Honor List student as a biology major at Cedarville University.....born 10/11/80 in St. Paul, MN.....daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Bruce Rulapaugh.....has two older brothers and an older sister.
