  • Erin Nehus is arguably the finest distance runner that Cedarville has ever had.....program's #1 runner since her arrival and she led the Lady Jackets to the 2001 NAIA national championship - the school's first in any sport.....looking to become CU's first four-time NAIA All-American.....finished 3rd in the NAIA covering the 5K in 18:16.....NCCAA champion (18:19) and American Mideast Conference champion (18:28) in guiding the Jackets to team titles in both events.....won the prestigious Midwest Collegiate Invitational with a career-best 18:05 effort on the NAIA national course.....also won at Greensboro and Wilmington.....on the track, NAIA Indoor All-American in the 5K and Outdoor All-American in the 3K and 5K.....NCCAA champion in the 3K and 5K to go along with wins in the AMC 1,500 and 3K.....CU's Female Athlete of the Year for 2001-02.....NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete.

    2000 - Repeated as NAIA and NCCAA All-American.....placed 16th out of 248 runners at the NAIA Nationals helping the team to an 8th-place showing.....finished 3rd in the NCCAA with a season-low time of 18:38.....placed 4th in the AMC guiding CU to the league championship.....won invitational titles at Rio Grande and Greensboro.....NCCAA national champion on the track in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters.....repeated as AMC 1,500 meter champion.

    1999 - Made an immediate impact as a freshman finishing as the team's #1 runner in all nine outings.....became only the fourth women's cross country runner in school history to earn NAIA All-America honors.....placed 29th out of 234 runners at the NAIA Nationals with a season-best 18:36.....NCCAA All-American upon finishing 12th in 18:42.....placed 5th in the AMC in 18:56.....won her collegiate debut at the Rio Grande Invitational and later won at Wilmington.....AMC 1,500 meter champion on the track.

    High School - Assembled a record-setting career at Gallia Academy.....All-Ohio performer in cross country and on the track in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs.....four-time team MVP in both cross country and track & field.....graduated with the school record in the 800 meters at 2:25.....earned All-Southeast Ohio Athletic League honors during each of her four years.....garnered All-Ohio Academic recognition and was valedictorian of her graduating class.

    Personal - Dean's List student as an exercise science major at Cedarville University.....born 3/16/81 in Northridge, CA.....daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Harry Nehus.....older brother, Eddie, graduated from CU in 2001 and was a three-time NAIA All-American in the 800 meters.
