Mugabe Thomas had an immediate impact upon the Yellow Jackets during his rookie season and was voted the American Mideast Conference South Division Freshman of the Year.....averaged 10.9 points and 5.8 rebounds per game.....played in all 35 games with 26 starts.....started the final 25 games in a row.....led the team with 27 blocked shots.....scored in double figures 20 times including a career-high 28 points at Shawnee State.....racked up a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds in a 96-54 win versus NAIA Division II No. 4 Huntington.....matched his career-high of 10 boards in two other games.....member of CU track & field team.....NCCAA All-American in the long jump by placing 3rd at the national meet (21-9).

High School - Participated in basketball, soccer, and track & field at Camperdown High School, but graduated from Hydel High School where he also played basketball.....averaged 44 points per game as a senior and once scored 63 points in a game.....member of the Jamaican National Team since he was 16.....four-time Most Valuable Player of the Jamaican Basketball Association.....three-time scoring champion and four-time rebounding champ in the 17 and over division.
