Jackets 19th at NAIA Nationals
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (11-22-2003) - The Yellow Jackets wrapped up their season by finishing 19th out of 28 schools at the NAIA National Championship. Dan Campbell placed 50th out of 254 runners with a time of 26:04 for the 8,000 meters.

Dave Balch was 97th in 26:37. Others scoring for Cedarville were Kevin Hall (125th; 26:59), Chris Hershey (145th; 27:18), and Benjamin Shroyer (153rd; 27:26). [TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS]

Campbell NCCAA All-American; Jackets place 3rd
CEDARVILLE, Ohio (11-15-2003) - Dan Campbell finished 12th out of 133 runners in the NCCAA Nationals to earn All-America honors as the Jackets placed 3rd as team. The top 15 finishers achieve All-America recognition and Campbell's time for the 8,000 meters at John Bryan State Park was 26:22.

Dave Balch finished 18th out of 133 competitors in 26:57. Other Yellow Jackets to score were Benjamin Shroyer (19th; 26:58), Kevin Hall (22nd; 27:09), and Chris Hershey (23rd; 27:15).

Malone repeated as men's team champion with 43 points to outrun the 19-team field. MidAmerica Nazarene was the runner-up with 60 points and Cedarville was third with 94. [COMPLETE RESULTS]

Campbell leads CU to 3rd in AMC
LATROBE, Pa. (11-01-2003) - Dan Campbell finished 3rd out of 120 runners to pace NAIA No. 17 Cedarville to a 3rd-place finish in the American Mideast Conference Championship. No. 7 Malone won the 12-team event with 23 points. No. 18 Shawnee State totaled 72 points while the Jackets were at 75.

Campbell covered the 8,000 meters in 26:29. Other CU runners to score were Dave Balch (15th; 27:07), Benjamin Shroyer (16th; 27:13), Chris Hershey (19th; 27:23), and Kevin Hall (22nd; 27:31).

Campbell was recognized as one of seven All-AMC First Team runners. Balch and Shroyer are AMC honorable mention which go to finishers in positions 15 through 17. [COMPLETE RESULTS AND ALL-AMC TEAM]
