Chris Jones returns to the track & field program after taking a year off.....cross country team's #6 runner in the fall with a career-best time of 27:01 in the 8K at the Ohio Northern Invitational to finish 31st overall.....24th in 27:16 at the Friendship Invitational and 25th in 27:23 at the NCCAA Nationals.

2002-03 - Did not run track as a sophomore.....appeared in three varsity cross country meets.....ran a season-best 28:06 for the 8K at the Louisville Classic where he placed 83rd out of 226 runners.....finished 37th in 28:20 at the Friendship Invitational.

2001-02 - Participated in four indoor meets and one outdoor meet as a freshman.....indoor best of 9:41.35 in the 3K and 16:54.50 in the 5K.....ran in six varsity cross country meets as a rookie.....posted a time of 28:33 for the 8K in back-to-back weeks placing 43rd at the Wilmington Invitational and 52nd at the American Mideast Conference Championship.

High School - Experienced a four-year distance running prep career at Bearden High School.....earned three letters in three years of cross country and was a four-year letter winner with the track & field team.....posted personal bests of 4:46 in the 1,600 meters and 16:20 in the 5K.....National Honor Society student.

Personal - Carries a business management major at Cedarville University.....born 12/1/82 in Knoxville, TN.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jones.....has one younger sister.
