Josh Mark returns to the Cedarville track & field program after taking a year off.....exceptional distance runner especially in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.....four-year cross country performer, who last competed in the 2002 season.....finished the year as the team's #4 runner with a season-low time of 26:55 in the 8K. 2001-02 - Placed 2nd in the NCCAA steeplechase with a career-best time of 9:24.30 and was selected for at-large All-America honors.....finished 3rd in the American Mideast Conference (9:34.59) and 18th at the NAIA Nationals (9:40.77).....won the event at the Miami Invitational (9:24.96) and the Wilmington Invitational (9:39.35).....placed 4th in the NCCAA 5K and was 3rd in the AMC.....outstanding cross country season as a junior and finished as the team's #1 runner.....All-AMC honorable mention by placing 9th overall.....posted a career-low time of 26:14 in the 8K at CU's Friendship Invitational.....placed 23rd in the NCCAA Nationals and 111th at the NAIA Nationals as the Jackets' lone competitor. 2000-01 - Placed 3rd in the steeple at the Florida State Relays with a season-best time of 9:38.81.....finished 6th in the NCCAA (9:51.65) and was 3rd in the AMC (10:05.50).....competed in the 1,000 and 1,500 meters during the indoor season.....member of 4 x 800 meter AMC title quartet to earn all-conference honors.....appeared in six varsity cross country meets as a sophomore. 1999-2000 - Competed in the 800; 1,500, and steeplechase as a freshman.....placed 5th in the AMC steeple in 10:18.64.....had a season-low time of 9:44.49 at the Cincinnati Classic.....finished 14th in the event at the NCCAA Nationals.....ran in five varsity cross country meets during his rookie season. High School - Four-year letter winner in cross country and track at Dayton Christian High School.....part of a state runner-up 4 x 800 meter relay team.....posted personal bests of 1:56.3 in the 800 meters and 16:30 in the 5K. Personal - Mechanical engineering major at Cedarville University.....born 5/9/81 at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, OH.....wife, Sarah, is a senior with the Lady Jackets and a NAIA All-American in cross country and track.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Imie Mark, Jr.....has one older brother.
