Dave Balch is one of CU's top returning runners after seeing action in seven out of eight meets as a freshman.....finished the season as the team's #4 runner and placed 31st overall at the NCCAA Nationals with a time of 27:14 for the 8K.....posted a career-best 26:54 and placed 32nd out of 226 competitors at the Louisville Classic.....finished 29th in the American Mideast Conference Championships in 27:37.....placed 5th in the 10,000 meters on the track at the NCCAA National Outdoor Championships. High School - Two-time all-state cross country runner at Northwestern High School.....placed 7th in the state meet as a senior.....Central Buckeye Conference champion as both a junior and senior.....2001 regional and district individual title holder.....earned All-Clark County honors.....equally impressive on the track as a multiple-event CBC champion and a state qualifier.....participated in cross country for three years with three letters and was a four-year letter winner on the track.....played two years of basketball and one season of football. Personal - Carries a sport management major at Cedarville University.....born 5/29/83 in Okinawa, Japan.....son of Mr. Timothy Balch and Mrs. Renatta Long.....has one older brother, four younger brothers, and a younger sister.
