Tara Munson returns for her third season with the Lady Jackets.....is one of seven juniors on the squad.....will again handle the duties at second base.....holds the school record for career sacrifice bunts with 28.....played in 35 games with 34 starts last season.....second on the squad with 51 assists and fourth with 61 putouts.....recorded a .933 fielding percentage.....registered a .176 batting average on 13 hits in 74 at bats.....added five runs scored and one double.....one of three Lady Jackets to post two hits each in a 8-3 win over Notre Dame College that completed a doubleheader sweep.

2002 - Started all 52 games at second base as a freshman.....posted a .971 fielding percentage with just six errors in 204 chances.....batted .190 at the plate with three doubles, 16 RBI's, and 19 runs scored.....had seven multi-hit games including one three-hit performance.....had two or more RBI's in a game five times.....wiped out the school season and career record for sacrifice bunts with 23.

High School - Earned five letters during her softball career at Grinnell High School.....two-time all-state performer who graduated as her school's all-time leader in hits and runs scored.....set a single-season record for most assists.....led the state in sacrifices her junior and senior years.....posted a .310 career batting average.....five-time all-conference first team infielder, twice named to the state all-tournament team, and was an all-district selection as a senior.....team won three regional titles, three district crowns, and one conference championship.....four-year volleyball player and was a two-time all-conference selection.....also participated in basketball and track & field.
