The Cavaliers, who were victorious in all four matches played this fall between the two schools, won 30-20, 30-23, 30-26. Lauren Mable totaled 19 kills and 14 digs for the Lady Jackets. Richelle Clem had seven kills with 19 digs. Kelsey Jones came through with 37 assists and Kathy Godinez added 11 digs. [STATS] Nov. 15, at Walsh (at AMC Tournament) NAIA No. 15 Walsh defeated Cedarville, 3-0, in the American Mideast Conference Tournament Championship. The host Cavaliers won by scores of 30-22, 30-21, 30-24. Erica Paugh tallied 12 kills for the Lady Jackets while Paula Thompson and Julia Bradley had six each. Lauren Mable came up with 17 digs, Kathy Godinez added 10, and Kelsey Jones produced 27 assists. [STATS] Nov. 15, Malone (at AMC Tournament) The Lady Jackets eliminated Malone from the AMC Tournament, 30-21, 30-27, 30-20. Lauren Mable had 14 kills with 22 digs. [STATS] Nov. 14, Ohio Dominican (at AMC Tournament) Lauren Mable posted team-highs of 14 kills and 19 digs to lead Cedarville to a 30-13, 30-28, 30-19 victory over Ohio Dominican in the quarterfinals of the American Mideast Conference Tournament. Julia Bradley came through with 12 kills and four blocks. Kelsey Jones provided 39 assists, Richelle Clem had eight kills and 16 digs while Kathy Godinez added 13 digs. [STATS] Nov. 8, at Malone Paula Thompson buried 18 kills to lead Cedarville to a 30-26, 30-18, 35-33 victory at American Mideast Conference foe Malone in the regular season finale. The outcome reversed a three-game setback at home to the Pioneers last month and gave the Lady Jackets second place outright in the division. The Jackets won by scores of 25-30, 30-26, 30-15, 21-30, 15-12 to clinch no worse than a second-place finish in the division. Kelsey Jones, who was playing on a badly sprained ankle that she suffered four days ago at the NCCAA Nationals, grit her teeth for 63 assists and 14 digs. [STATS] Oct. 31, Christian Heritage (at NCCAA National Tournament) Christian Heritage ended Cedarville's stay at the NCCAA National Tournament by defeating the Lady Jackets 30-22, 30-25, 30-21. With the absence of injured Kelsey Jones, Lauren Mable moved into the role of primary setter and responded with 31 assists and 11 digs. Aaryn Phillips had a team-high 11 kills with 12 digs. Richelle Clem recorded seven kills and 15 digs. [STATS] Oct. 31, Union (at NCCAA National Tournament) Union rolled past the Lady Jackets at the NCCAA Nationals 30-19, 30-16, 30-14. Cedarville has won every match during the streak by 3-0 counts and they have been victorious in 10 of their last 11 matches overall. Freshmen middle hitter Julia Bradley led a balanced attack with 10 kills and five blocks. Cedarville, which had never won on the Cougars' home court until last year, made this year's trip without head coach Teresa Clark, who stayed behind due to illness. Her husband and assistant coach, Jim Clark, as well as assistant Merilee Shank took over and the Jackets bounced back from an 11-7 deficit in the fifth game to win it. [STATS] Sept. 11, SHAWNEE STATE Cedarville opened the American Mideast Conference South Division schedule with a difficult 3-2 victory over Shawnee State. The Yellow Jackets won by scores of 20-30, 30-22, 30-24, 25-30, 15-9 in what was their fifth five-game match out of ten played to date. Cedarville needed a rally after dropping the first game. The hosts eventually took immediate control in the fifth game by jumping out to a 10-3 advantage. Lauren Mable hammered 19 kills with a career-high 34 digs. Aaron Phillips powered a career-high 14 kills. Julia Bradley had 14 kills and Paula Thompson added 13. Lauren Mable pounded 18 kills and recorded 18 digs to lead Cedarville to a 3-2 victory over Saint Francis (Ind.) in non-conference volleyball action.
