Sarah Mark became the Lady Jackets' seventh NAIA All-American.

Mark, NAIA All-American;
Cedarville finishes 9th

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (11-22-2003) - Sarah Mark became the seventh Lady Jacket runner to earn NAIA All-America honors when she placed 21st out of 256 runners at the NAIA National Championship. The top 30 finishers are recognized as All-Americans. Cedarville ended its season 9th out of 28 schools as a team.

Mark, who previously picked up NAIA All-America honors in the 5,000 meters and steeplechase in outdoor track, covered the 5K course in 18:23. That effort was just one second off of her career best.

Jennifer Tetrick finished 48th in 18:56. Others to score for the Jackets were Ann-Marie Wiggins (77th; 19:17), Melissa Mattner (136th; 19:49); and Melissa Wysong (144th; 19:53. [TEAM AND INDIVIDUAL RESULTS]

Lady Jackets 3rd in NCCAA;
Mark, four-time All-American

CEDARVILLE, Ohio (11-15-2003) - Sarah Mark paced Cedarville to a 3rd-place tie in the NCCAA Championships by finishing 3rd overall to earn All-America honors for the fourth straight year. She covered the 5,000 meters at John Bryan State Park in 18:24. The top 15 finishers are All-Americans.

Melissa Wysong and Jennifer Tetrick joined Mark on the All-America unit. Wysong was 14th in 19:16 while Tetrick, who was the defending individual champion but running on a sprained ankle, was 15th in 19:17. Ann-Marie Wiggins was 28th in 19:36 while Melissa Mattner finished 35th out of 140 runners in 19:58.

Indiana Wesleyan won its first-ever title with 41 points. Malone was second with 57 points while the Lady Jackets and Roberts Wesleyan tied for third place with 95 points each. There were 20 teams in the field. [COMPLETE RESULTS]

Mark, Jackets 3rd at AMC
LATROBE, Pa. (11-01-2003) - The NAIA No. 11 Lady Jackets finished 3rd in the American Mideast Conference Championships which broke their string of three straight league titles. No. 10 ranked Malone won the 13-team meet with 32 points, No. 21 Roberts Wesleyan was 2nd with 47 points while CU tallied 63.

Sarah Mark led the way for Cedarville by placing 3rd out of 136 runners with a time of 18:45 for the 5,000 meters. Other Jackets to score were Jennifer Tetrick (4th; 18:48), Ann-Marie Wiggins (14th; 19:38), Melissa Wysong (17th; 19:44), and Kim Fleck (27th; 20:20).

Mark and Tetrick earned spots on the All-AMC First Team by finishing in the top seven. Wiggins was an All-AMC Second Team selection by grabbing one of the next seven spots. Wysong picked up the last of three available AMC honorable mention positions. [COMPLETE RESULTS AND ALL-AMC TEAM]
