Melissa Fawcett returns for her third season with the Lady Jackets after posting another successful campaign guarding the nets in 2002.....holds school record for games played as a goalkeeper with 47 and career wins with 17.....shares school record for career shutouts with 9.....appeared in 18 matches with 17 starts in goal as a junior.....credited with 88 saves while allowing 30 goals for a 1.91 goals against average.....posted shutout wins over Oberlin and Walsh....named NAIA and NCCAA All-America Scholar-Athlete. 2001 - Registered school records with seven shutouts and 2,058 minutes played.....started all 22 matches with a 1.66 goals against average and 104 saves.....11 wins last season was one short of the school record.....named to the American Mideast Conference Second Team. 2000 - Saw action in seven matches with one start as a freshman playing behind All-NAIA Region IX and All-AMC keeper Becky Kozlowski.....played 157 minutes with a 4.02 goal against average and seven saves. High School - Two-time MVP of the Cedarville Soccer Association high school club team and earned a letter as a freshman at Old Mill Senior High School in Maryland.....garnered three letters in softball and one more in basketball at Cedarville High School.....batted an area-best .620 in softball as a senior and was named to the Greene County All-Star Team as a first baseman.....played on the 1999 sectional championship softball squad that was coached by current Lady Jacket head coach Sue Carpenter.....co-valedictorian of graduating class and a National Honor Society student. Personal - Dean's Honor List student as a criminal justice major.....born 10/25/82 in Annapolis, MD.....daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Fawcett.....has one younger sister.
