Nevitt, Sato head All-AMC
honors for Jackets

CEDARVILLE, Ohio (11-21-2003) - Freshman forward Ashley Nevitt and sophomore defender Lauren Sato have been named to the American Mideast Conference South Division First Team and Nevitt was also tabbed the division's Freshman of the Year. The selections were made by the league's coaches.

Nevitt led the Lady Jackets in scoring with 12 goals and 5 assists for 29 points. Her point total is the fifth-highest in CU's seven-year women's soccer history and her 12 goals ties for the third-best mark in a single season. Sato started all 18 matches in the back and paced the Jackets' defense to four shutouts and a 1.77 goals against average.

Sophomore midfielder Laura Radcliffe and junior forward Jane Adams earned spots on the All-AMC South Division Second Team. Radcliffe ranked second for the Jackets in scoring with 8 goals and 4 assists for 20 points while Adams was third with 6 goals and a team-high 7 assists for 19 points.
