Nov. 13, SPRING ARBOR (NCCAA Midwest Region Championship)
Spring Arbor captured the NCCAA Midwest Region championship with a 2-0 victory on the Lady Jackets' home turf. It's the third straight season that the Cougars have knocked off Cedarville in the title match. Spring Arbor got all they needed when they deflected in a corner kick in the 13th minute. It was 1-0 at halftime. The visitors managed three shots on goal in the first half while CU was limited to one in conditions that featured temperatures hovering around the freezing mark with winds steady at 25-30 mph. The Cougars got themselves an insurance goal in the 54th minute on their only shot on goal over the final 45 minutes. Cedarville also had just one shot on goal in the second period. [STATS]

Nov. 8, at Houghton (AMC Qualifying Tournament)
NAIA No. 8 Houghton scored three goals in each half and shutout Cedarville, 6-0, in the American Mideast Conference Qualifying Tournament. The Highlanders, 17-1, have won 12 straight matches and have allowed just four goals the entire season. Houghton got the scoring underway in the 11th minute. It stayed close until goals in the 35th and 45th minutes made it 3-0 at the intermission. The hosts added scores in the 52nd, 63rd, and 67th minutes. Houghton posted a 15-6 shot advantage. [STATS]

Nov. 1, at Tiffin
Ashley Nevitt scored the first two goals of the match, but host Tiffin bounced back for a 2-2 tie with the Lady Jackets in an American Mideast Conference South Division contest. Nevitt found the net on an assist from Laura Radcliffe in the 15th minute. She came back four minutes later by scoring her team-high 12th goal of the season with Nicole James assisting. The Dragons answered with goals in the 25th and 41st minutes to forge the deadlock. Tiffin recorded 22 shots compared to 21 for Cedarville. Both teams placed 10 shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 28, MOUNT VERNON NAZARENE
Mount Vernon Nazarene surrendered a rare goal early in the game and then rebounded for a 4-1 victory at Cedarville in a soggy American Mideast Conference South Division match. The contest, whose outcome ended CU's five-match unbeaten string, was played in blowing rain and 45 degree temperatures. The conditions didn't stop the Lady Jackets from getting on the board first when Ashley Nevitt headed in her 10th goal of the season on an assist from Katie Walter in the 5th minute. It was only the eighth goal allowed by MVNU in 18 matches this fall. After that, it was all Cougars. The visitors scored in the 15th and 27th minutes for a 2-1 halftime lead. It stayed close until they put the match away with scores in the 78th and 83rd minutes. Mount Vernon Nazarene held a 21-13 shot advantage including a 13-11 edge in shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 25, at Taylor
Abby Price scored one goal and assisted on another as Cedarville rallied for a 2-2 tie at Taylor in a non-conference match. The outcome keeps the Lady Jackets unbeaten in their last five matches. The host Trojans received goals in the 10th and 66th minutes to take a 2-0 lead. Price scored her third goal of the season in the 67th minute from Jane Adams. Ashley Nevitt got the equalizer in the 79th minute when she finished off a corner kick from Price. It was her team-leading ninth goal of the year. CU outshot Taylor 23-9 overall and 12-6 in shots on goal. [STATS]

Oct. 21, URBANA
Ashley Nevitt scored a goal and an assist to lead Cedarville to a 3-1 win versus Urbana in American Mideast Conference South Division action. The Lady Jackets are unbeaten in their last four matches. Nevitt found the net in the 19th minute for her eighth goal of the season when she one-timed a corner kick from Abby Price. Two minutes later, Nevitt set up Laura Radcliffe, who buried her eighth goal from 20 yards straight out front. It was 2-0 at the break and Nicole James made it a three-goal bulge on her second goal of the year with Jane Adams assisting in the 54th minute. Urbana broke what would have been CU's fourth straight shutout with a goal in the 87th minute. Melissa Fawcett got the win in goal and made six saves. [STATS]

Oct. 18, WALSH
Cedarville overcame a sluggish first half to defeat Walsh, 2-0, in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. It was the third straight shutout for the Lady Jackets. CU, which had played a scoreless double-overtime marathon with Malone less than 48 hours prior, was outshot 9-3 overall in the first half and 4-0 in shots on goal by a Walsh team that was playing for the first time in 11 days. But the Jackets dominated play in the second period with Jane Adams scoring unassisted in the 52nd minute and Abby Price hooking in a corner kick in the 80th minute. Both teams finished with 14 shots apiece with Walsh having a 6-4 advantange in shots on goal. Jessica Balser made six saves and notched her first shutout of the season. [STATS]

Oct. 16, MALONE
Melissa Fawcett made nine saves en route to her 11th career shutout as Cedarville played Malone to a 0-0 double overtime tie in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. The visiting Pioneers came into the contest ranked No. 2 in NAIA Region IX. The Lady Jackets outshot Malone 16-14 including a slim 10-9 edge in shots on goal. It was Cedarville's fifth scoreless tie in their seven-year women's soccer history and the first since last October when it happened against Shawnee State. [STATS]

Oct. 11, GRACE
Karen Ruhlman scored in the 44th minute and Cedarville outplayed Grace, 1-0, in a non-conference match on Homecoming Saturday. The outcome halted a two-match losing skid for the Lady Jackets and ended a three-match winning streak for the visiting Lancers. Ruhlman netted her third goal of the season on an assist from Katie Mariani with 1:42 left in the first period. Statistically, CU dominated the match with a 25-5 shot advantage including a 13-2 edge in shots on goal. The Lady Jackets attempted 16 corner kicks without surrendering one to Grace. Jessica Balser and Melissa Fawcett combined for the shutout. Balser did not face any shots on goal in the first half while Fawcett was called upon to make two saves in the second. [STATS]

Oct. 7, at Ohio Dominican
Ohio Dominican scored the game's only goal in the 81st minute to beat Cedarville, 1-0, in an American Mideast Conference South Division match. It marked the second straight outing that the CU offense had been shut down. The host Panthers outshot Cedarville 15-11 including a 10-4 margin in the second half. Ohio Dominican was credited with nine shots on goal compared to five for the Lady Jackets. Melissa Fawcett tallied five saves in goal. [STATS]

Oct. 4, at Indiana Wesleyan
NAIA No. 13 Indiana Wesleyan handed the Lady Jackets only their second shutout of the season in a 4-0 win. The host Wildcats, who were coming off of a 1-0 setback which was their first conference loss in three seasons, responded with two goals in each half versus Cedarville. IWU got all they needed with a goal seven minutes into the match. They added scores in the 16th, 49th, and 58th minutes. Indiana Wesleyan held a 19-9 shot advantage and limited the Jackets to five shots on goal. [STATS]

Sept. 26, WITTENBERG
Laura Radcliffe and Ashley Nevitt scored second-half goals to pace the Lady Jackets to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory over Wittenberg in non-conference action played under the lights. It was the sixth meeting between the two schools and marked the first time that the home team won the match. The visiting Tigers made the most out of their only shot on goal by drilling the back of the net in the 10th minute and the 1-0 difference held up until intermission. Radcliffe knotted the match with her seventh goal of the season by finishing off a corner kick from Jane Adams in the 53rd minute. Nevitt got the game winner in the 80th minute by heading home her seventh goal this season on a restart from Abby Price. CU outshot Wittenberg 10-3 and put seven shots on goal compared to one for the Tigers. [STATS]

Sept. 23, at Otterbein
Otterbein put a halt to the Lady Jackets' three-match winning streak with a 5-1 non-conference victory. The unbeaten Cardinals surrendered the first goal and then reeled off five unanswered scores. Jane Adams put Cedarville on the board in the 9th minute on an assist from Ashley Nevitt. After that, it was all Otterbein. The hosts scored in the 15th and 32nd minutes for a 2-1 halftime lead. A goal in the 60th minute gave the Cardinals some breathing room and then they found the net in the 73rd and 78th minutes to blow it open. [STATS]

Sept. 20, at Marian
Freshman forward Ashley Nevitt exploded for a school-record 10 points with four goals and two assists as the Lady Jackets pounded host Marian, 9-1, in non-conference play. Her four goals tied the school record set by Kristen DeVinney in 1997 when she totaled nine points in a match at Huntington. Laura Radcliffe, who had two goals and two assists, got the scoring underway in the 6th minute with Nevitt assisting. Then Nevitt netted four unanswered goals in a span of 15 minutes. Radcliffe assisted on two of them with Jane Adams and Abby Price helping on the others. It was 5-1 at halftime and CU opened up the offense again in period two. Adams, Radcliffe, Katie Thompson, and Karen Ruhlman all scored. Nicole James provided two second-half assists, Nevitt had one, and Jessie Gasiorowski dished out the other. Melissa Fawcett went the distance in goal and made three saves. [STATS]

Sept. 16, at Shawnee State
Jane Adams tallied two goals with two assists and Laura Radcliffe added two goals as Cedarville opened their American Mideast Conference South Division schedule with a 7-1 victory at Shawnee State. Radcliffe got the scoring underway in the 12th minute on an assist from Emily Arimura and then found the net again 12 minutes later with Adams getting the assist. Adams netted her first goal unassisted in the 31st minute. The Jackets took a 4-0 lead into the intermission when Lisa Blackburn scored her first collegiate goal from Katie Mariani. Adams notched her second goal just two minutes into the second period on a penalty kick. Following the Bears' lone goal, Adams set up Nicole James for her first score of the season in the 68th minute. Karen Ruhlman registered her first collegiate goal in the 76th minute on an assist from James to account for the final. Jessica Balser played the entire 90 minutes in goal and made two saves. Sept. 13, OBERLIN
The Lady Jackets netted three first-half goals and Melissa Fawcett set a new school record with her 10th career shutout as Cedarville blanked non-conference foe Oberlin, 3-0, in their home opener. CU got the only goal they needed when Laura Radcliffe cleaned up a loose ball in the box for her second goal of the season in the 24th minute. Rookie forward Ashley Nevitt headed home her second goal of the campaign one minute later on assists from Jane Adams and Katie Walter. Freshman Abby Price completed the scoring with her first collegiate goal with 1:01 left in the period by nailing a 30-yarder after Oberlin's keeper collided with a Lady Jacket at the top of the box leaving an empty net. Cedarville had a 17-4 shot advantage including a 10-2 cushion in shots on goal. Fawcett made two saves with the Yeowomen putting their first shot on goal with 10 minutes left in the match. [STATS]

Sept. 6, at Seton Hill
Seton Hill netted the game's only goal, unassisted in the 76th minute, to nip the Lady Jackets, 1-0. The Griffins play in the AMC North Division while Cedarville is a South Division member. The Jackets outshot Seton Hill, 14-11, but the hosts put eight shots on goal compared to six for CU. Jessica Balser made seven saves in goal. [STATS]

Sept. 3, at Ohio Northern
Laura Radcliffe and Ashley Nevitt each tallied a goal and an assist to lead Cedarville to a 5-2 non-conference victory at Ohio Northern in their season opener. Five separate Lady Jackets scored in a match that the visitors dominated with a 28-7 advantage in shots including a 17-4 difference in shots on goal. The Polar Bears got on the board first in the 12th minute, but Radcliffe tied the score one minute later by converting a penalty kick. CU took the lead for good on a goal by Katie Walter in the 37th minute on Nevitt's assist. It was 2-1 at halftime. Radcliffe assisted a score by Candi Jelinek in the 50th minute for a 3-1 lead. Six minutes later, ONU cut the gap to one before Jane Adams found the net in the 64th minute from Emily Arimura. Nevitt completed the scoring in the 87th minute on an assist from Abby Price. Jessica Balser played all 90 minutes in goal and made two saves. [STATS]
