  • Carrie Hartman returns for her final year with the Lady Jackets after posting impressive seasons during her first three years with the program.....still rehabbing from a torn ACL in her left knee suffered in the first game of the first match of the 2003 volleyball season.....ability to play and contribute will be an unknown until the season progresses.....presented the Sportsmanship Award at the 2003 NCCAA National Tournament.....tallied a 14-3 record at the #2 singles position.....combined with Bethany Staten at #1 doubles to post a 6-4 mark.....needs just seven singles victories to eclipse Jen Roman’s record of 52 career singles wins set last spring.....recorded a 6-3, 6-0 win in #2 singles in the Lady Jackets’ 5-2 victory over Ohio Dominican in the championship match of the NAIA Region IX Tournament.....earned NCCAA All- America honors in both singles and doubles to go along with American Mideast Conference honors in singles.

    2002 - Led the squad with a 18-3 (.857) record playing #3 singles last spring to improve her career mark to 32-6.....garnered a spot on the American Mideast Conference Team in singles....posted a 7-3 mark playing #2 doubles with Jen Roman.

    2001 - Stepped right into the #2 singles spot and rolled to a 14-3 record.....voted to the All-AMC Team in both singles and doubles.....joined Amy Gregory for a 10-4 record at #1 doubles.....was unbeaten in three more doubles matches with three other teammates.

    High School - Put together a notable three-sport career at Snider High School.....earned three letters in tennis with a 32-6 doubles record over her final two seasons.....team had a record of 31-3 during that timespan.....program won four sectional championships and three conference titles during her career.....four-year letter winner in volleyball who led the city of Fort Wayne in assists as a senior and helped her squad capture the conference championship.....member of a sectional championship team.....played two seasons of basketball with one letter.

    Personal - Four-year member of the Lady Jacket volleyball team that posted a 117-59 record during her career.....missed the final season of her volleyball career due to the knee injury.....led the 2002 squad in assists, added 199 kills and 437 digs and earned a place on the All-AMC South Division team.....carries a nursing major at Cedarville University.....born 1/13/82 in Fort Wayne, IN.....daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hartman.....older sisters Angela and Melissa can be found written all over the Lady Jacket record books in volleyball, tennis, and basketball.....younger brother Tim is a sophomore member of the Yellow Jacket tennis team.
