  • NCCAA At-Large All-American (hammer) - 2001, 2002

    Michaela (Cernetic) Bolton returns for her final season with the Cedarville track & field squad specializing in the throwing events.....finished 14th in the hammer throw at the NAIA Outdoor Championships with a heave of 149-feet and 1-inch.....became an NAIA automatic qualifier with a career-best toss of 150-4 to finish 4th in the American Mideast Conference Championship.....placed 3rd in the hammer at the Wilmington Invitational with a throw of 142-10.....tossed a season-best 111-1 in the discus at the Miami Invitational.....threw the shot put a season-best 34-feet at the Denison Last Chance Indoor Meet for a 3rd-place finish....tossed a season-best throw of 43-7.25 for 4th place in the weight throw at the NCCAA Indoor Championships.

    2002 - Provisional NAIA qualifier in the hammer with a throw of 145-4 at the Butler Invitational.....placed 4th in the hammer at the NCCAA Championships with a toss of 146-4.....finished 5th in the hammer with a toss of 145-6 at the AMC Championships..... tossed a season-best hammer throw of 147-6 at the Indiana Invitational.....threw the shot put a distance of 35-10.75 to place 10th in the NCCAA Championships.....discus throw of 101-6 was 15th at the NCCAA Championships.

    2001 - NCCAA At-Large All-American in the hammer by posting one of the top 20 throws all-time with a heave of 140-feet even which placed 3rd.....finished 4th in AMC at 143-3.....qualfied for the NAIA Outdoor Nationals and placed 8th with a season-best toss of 146-7.....finished 6th in the NCCAA discus (120-7) and was 7th in the shot put with a career-best 36-0 effort.....threw the discus a career-best 123-8 at the AMC Championship to place 7th.

    High School - Two-time All-Kenton Trace Conference performer in track & field for Cedarville High School.....served as a team captain.....two-time district competitor in the shot put and discus.....qualified for the regional in both events as a senior.

    Personal - Married Jeremy Bolton on 7/20/02.....Dean's List student as an early childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 4/5/82 in Yellow Springs, OH..... daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Cernetic.....has one older brother and a younger sister.
