May 5-6, at American Mideast Conference/NAIA Region IX Tournament
Yellow Jacket sophomore Adam Schlappi secured a position on the American Mideast Conference golf team after tying for 10th place in the NAIA Region IX Championship. He carded rounds of 79-71-74 for an 8-over par total of 224 at the Apple Valley Golf Club. Schlappi is the first Yellow Jacket golfer in three years and just the second in the past 15 seasons to garner all-conference recognition. He broke 80 in all 17 rounds he played this season and his 75.8 scoring average is the 3rd-lowest in school history. Senior Ben Foreman placed 24th at 82-82-70-234. His closing 2-under par 70 matched the 2nd-lowest 18-hole score in relation to par in CU golf history and it bettered his previous career-low round by five strokes. It also tied for the 3rd-best score in the tournament. Other Yellow Jacket results were Brent Martin, 80-81-84-245; Travis Roach, 82-82-85-249; and Dan Servi, 87-90-89-266. NAIA No. 10 Malone repeated as team champion with scores of 298-290-284 for an 872 total. Cedarville finished 8th in the 14-team field with rounds of 323-316-313-952. April 22-23, at Malone Invitational
The Yellow Jackets tied for 7th out of 13 schools at the 18-hole Malone Invitational. After playing in a steady rain the first day, the second round was cancelled due to snow and bitter cold. The host Pioneers finished are in 1st place with a 296 at the Tannenhauf Golf Club. CU was 13 shots back at 309. Adam Schlappi and Ben Foreman each carded a 75 to pace the Jackets. Brent Martin had a 79, Dan Servi shot 80, and Aaron McDivitt had an 86. Travis Roach played as an at-large entry and turned in an 83.

April 18-19, 24th Annual CEDARVILLE INVITATIONAL
The Yellow Jackets bounced back to tie for 2nd place in the 24th Annual Cedarville Invitational and Adam Schlappi finished as the runner-up. The first round was played at the Beavercreek Golf Club while the final 18 holes was staged at Country Club of the North. Schlappi followed his opening round 74 with a 76 for a 150 total which was just one shot out of medalist honors. He was joined on the all-tournament team by Ben Foreman, who had scores of 76-77-153 to place 5th. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Brent Martin, 89-80-169; Dan Servi, 93-80-173; and Travis Roach, 88-90-178.. Aaron McDivitt shot 84-86-170 playing as an at-large entry. Tiffin won the event by 25 shots with a 310-305-615 total. Joining the Yellow Jackets in 2nd place were Ohio Dominican (328-312-640) and Shawnee State (316-324-640). April 15-16, at Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic
The Yellow Jackets stumbled over the final 18 holes to finish 7th out of nine schools at the Mount Vernon Nazarene Classic. CU, who stood in 5th place after the first round, had rounds of 310 and 327 for a 637 total. Tiffin won the event with scores of 303-302-605. Adam Schlappli’s opening-round 73 tied for 1st place, but he finished tied for 7th after a closing 79 for a 152 total. Other Cedarville scores were Ben Foreman, 75-86-161; Brent Martin, 80-82-162; Dan Servi, 82-80-162; and Aaron McDivitt, 84-92-176.

April 11-12, at Walsh Invitational
The Yellow Jackets moved up a spot to finish 5th out of eight teams at the Walsh Invitational. Malone won the 36-hole event with scores of 308 and 323 for a 631 total. The Pioneers were followed by Tiffin (316-319-635), Walsh (314-326-640), Ohio Dominican (319-337-656), and Cedarville (321-337-658). Adam Schlappi tied for 5th place individually with rounds of 79-79 for a 158 total. He was one of only three players in the entire field to break 80 on day two with temperatures in the low 40's with wind. Brent Martin tied for 15th place (80-82-162). April 6, at Central State
Cedarville used balanced play to easily defeat Greene County rival Central State, 311-352, in a dual match played at the Locust Hills Golf Course. The two schools’ campuses are located just four miles apart. Travis Roach came through with a season-low score of 75. Other Yellow Jackets competing were Ben Foreman, 77; Adam Schlappi, 78; Brent Martin, 81; and Dan Servi, 82.

April 1-2, at Indiana Wesleyan Invitational
Cedarville jumped out to the first-round lead at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational, but struggled over the final 18 holes to place 3rd out of six schools. The Yellow Jackets enjoyed an eight-shot advantage after the first day and then went 24 strokes higher in the decisive second round. The host Wildcats won the 36-hole event with back-to-back rounds of 313 for a 626 total. They were followed by Tiffin (314-316-630), Cedarville (305-329-634), Tri-State (319-318-637), Calvin (333-317-650), and Olivet (327-338-665). Adam Schlappi, who finished 2nd five days earlier at Shawnee State, was the tournament runner-up with rounds of 73 and 78 for a 151 total. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Ben Foreman (75-79-154), Dan Servi (78-83-161), Travis Roach (79-92-171), and Brent Martin (83-89-172).

March 28-29, at Shawnee State Invitational
The Yellow Jackets opened the spring schedule by placing 3rd at the Shawnee State Invitational while Adam Schlappi finished 2nd individually. The host Bears won the eight-team, 36-hole event at the Elks Country Club with scores of 305 and 303 for a 608 total while Ohio Dominican was 2nd (308-306-614) followed by Cedarville (306-310-616). Schlappi carded scores of 75 and 71 for a 2-over par total of 146. Freshman Brent Martin tied for 5th place with rounds of 74-76 for a 150 total. Other Yellow Jacket scores were Ben Foreman (75-77-152), Dan Servi (82-86-168), and Travis Roach (82-89-171).

Oct. 11-12, at NCCAA Nationals
The Yellow Jackets cut four strokes off of their opening round score and finished 12th at the NCCAA National Tournament which was played at The Hombre Golf Club. Fellow American Mideast Conference member Malone had a 603 total for the 36 holes to win the 21-team event by one shot over Indiana Wesleyan and by two over 3rd-place Spring Arbor. Cedarville had rounds of 325 and 321 for a 646 total. Adam Schlappi followed his first-round 76 with a 78 for a team-leading 154 total over the 6,820 yard layout. His score was good enough to tie for 18th place overall. Ben Foreman, the lone senior on the roster, completed a good tournament with rounds of 79-81-160. Other scores for the Jackets were Travis Roach (85-80-165), Aaron McDivitt (86-82-168), and Brent Martin (85-86-171). [COMPLETE RESULTS]
