Tim Thomson will serve as a team captain and is regarded as Cedarville’s defensive leader in the back.....has started 57 of the 61 matches in which he has played.....NCCAA Midwest Region First Team selection as a junior and All-America honorable mention.....started all 23 matches he played in last fall.....recognized as Team MVP and squad’s Defensive Player of the Year.

2002 - Voted to the NCCAA Midwest Region 2nd Team and the American Mideast Conference South Division 2nd Team as a sophomore.....one of only four players to start all 20 matches.....assisted on the first goal of the season in a 2-1 win at Georgetown.....also picked up an assist in a 3-2 overtime victory at Wittenberg.

2001 - Key defender during his first season with the Yellow Jackets.....played in 18 matches with 14 starts in the back.....missed six matches with an ankle injury.....assisted on the first goal of a 3-0 win over Grace in the NCCAA Midwest Region final for his only point of the season.

High School - Earned 11 letters total in soccer, basketball, and track & field during his prep career at Trinity Christian High School.....named Team MVP in all three sports his final year and was presented the Senior Athlete Award at graduation.....member of four-time league championship soccer team that also won the 2000 ACSI Eastern Regional title.....four-year letter winner, two-time Team MVP, and twice a captain in soccer.....netted 28 career goals from his defender position.....three-time MVP of track & field squad and was a two-year captain.....holds the school record in the long jump and triple jump.....three-time MVP of the ACSI meet hosted by Geneva College.....three-year letter winner in basketball.....averaged 18 points per game and was a team captain as a senior.

Personal - Carries a math secondary education major at Cedarville University.....born 9/20/82 in Monroeville, PA.....son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Thomson.....older sister, Lisa, played on the first two Lady Jacket varsity soccer teams in 1997 and 1998 while being recognized as an NCCAA All-America defender.....also has two older brothers.
