Netters' season ends at NCCAA; finish 17-8
GREER, S.C. (5-11-2005) - The Yellow Jacket netters ended the season with a 17-8 record after dropping its final three matches at the NCCAA National Tournament. Olivet Nazarene (5-1), Bethel (5-0), and Palm Beach Atlantic (5-2) all defeated Cedarville.

The Jackets’ only point against Olivet Nazarene came at #1 doubles when Tim Hartman and Michael Rhoads pulled out a 9-8 victory. The Tigers won the other two doubles matches and then posted victories at #3, #5, and #6 singles to clinch the outcome. [RESULTS]

The 5-0 score versus Bethel was much closer than the final indicates. The Pilots scrambled for 9-8 victories at #1 and #2 doubles to go along with an 8-5 win at #3 doubles. They closed out the match with wins at #2 and #6 singles with both matches going three sets after CU players won the opening set in each match. [RESULTS]

The Yellow Jackets could not take advantage of the two points surrendered to them by Palm Beach Atlantic. Cedarville’s #3 doubles team of Jacob Bezeck and Jared Michonski as well as #6 singles player Emanuel Dolph were winners by default. However, the Sailfish won the other two doubles matches as well as the singles contests at the #3, #4, and #5 positions to earn the victory. [RESULTS]
