Justin Herbert adds depth for the Yellow Jackets in the distance events.....completed his freshman cross country season as CU’s #6 runner.....ran in all eight varsity meets with a career-best time in the 8K of 26:32 at the Louisville Classic.....finished 20th overall in the Friendship Invitational (26:44) and was 33rd in the NCCAA Nationals (27:03). High School - Three-time All-Greater Western Ohio Conference cross country runner at Division I Wayne High School.....four-year letter winner.....three-time all-district and all-area performer.....Team MVP.....four-time regional qualifier.....member of two district championship teams.....earned three letters in track & field.....twice qualified for regional competition.....part of three-time league, district, and regional championship squad.....team captain for both cross country and track programs.....selected to the GWOC All-Academic Team.....U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award recipient.....Junior Olympic national qualifier as a senior and was state runner-up as a junior.
