Scott Marquardt is a third-year pole vaulter for the Yellow Jackets.....best indoor effort was 13-feet 6-inches at the NCCAA Nationals which placed 5th.....cleared a career-high 12-feet 6-inches outdoors in the Yellow Jacket Open and at Indiana Wesleyan. 2003 - Only competed during the indoor season as a freshman.....cleared 11-feet 6-inches at the Denison Invitational. High School - Four-year track & field competitor at Newaygo High School with three letters.....all-conference first team pole vaulter with a career-best effort of 12-6.....placed 2nd in the event at the Pioneer All-Star Track & Field Meet.....two-year letter winner in cross country.....salutatorian of graduating class.....National Honor Society student. Personal - Dean’s List student as a middle childhood education major at Cedarville University.....born 7/9/83 in Fremont, MI.....son of John and Mary Jo Marquardt.....has one older brother....younger brother, Todd, is a sophomore pole vaulter with the Yellow Jackets.
