Jason Scott leads Cedarville’s pole vault contingent following a phenomenal rookie season in 2004.....NAIA national outdoor champion in the event and set a school record by clearing 16-feet 7.50-inches.....became only the third Yellow Jacket NAIA national champion.....NAIA Indoor All-American upon placing 3rd at 15-11.....NCCAA outdoor champion (15-11) and American Mideast Conference champion (15-6).....also won pole vault competitions at Indiana Wesleyan, Muskingum, Cedarville, and Windsor.....won his last five competitions in a row and seven overall for the indoor and outdoor seasons.....NCCAA indoor runner-up (15-0).....NCCAA All-American as the outdoor 110 meter hurdles runner-up with a career-best time of 14.97 seconds. High School - Produced an outstanding career at Dayton Christian High School where he earned four letters in track & field.....Ohio Division II state pole vault champion as a senior after clearing 15-feet 2-inches.....won the event by 14 inches.....finished 3rd in the state 110 meter hurdles with a time of 14.74 seconds.....scored all 16 points for DC which tied for 9th place as a team.....member of Team Ohio in the Midwest Meet of Champions and competed in the hurdles.....helped Dayton Christian win a pair of district championships and team was runner-up in 2003.....squad won regional title as a junior.....owns school indoor and outdoor pole vault records.....team captain. Personal - Carries a physical activity and sports studies major at Cedarville University.....born 4/10/85 in Dayton, OH.....son of Phil and Debbie Scott.....father is an assistant coach with the Yellow Jackets.....has one older sister.
