  • American Mideast Conference Team (4 x 800 relay) - 2003
  • Ben Shroyer has developed into a solid distance runner for the Yellow Jackets.....finished the cross country season as the program’s #4 runner.....opened the season with a career-best 26:16 in the 8K at Bowling Green.....placed 21st in the NCCAA Nationals in 26:28.....was among the team’s top four finishers in seven out of eight varsity meets.

    2003-04 - Ran a season-best 2:02.39 in the 800 meters at Muskingum.....turned in a career-low 4:08.69 effort 1,500 meters at the Miami Invitational.....placed 9th in the mile run at the NCCAA Indoor Championship in 4:32.70.....appeared in all eight varsity cross country meets as a sophomore and consistently ran among the team’s top five finishers.....had a season-best 26:58 for the 8K at the NCCAA Nationals which placed 19th out of 133 runners.

    2002-03 - Competed in the 800 and 1,500 meters during the outdoor track season as a freshman......member of American Mideast Conference champion 4 x 800 meter relay team which was clocked in 7:54.48.....career-low in the 800 is 2:02.30 and fastest time in the 1,500 is 4:10.24.....ran in six varsity cross country meets as a freshman with a season-best time of 28:28 in the AMC meet where he placed 47th of 126 runners.

    High School - Participated in four sports at Graham High School.....ran only one season of cross country, but was selected the school’s Outstanding Runner of the Year.....named to the All-Champaign County first team and to the All-Central Buckeye Conference first team.....posted a career-best 17:18 in the cross country 5K.....three-year letter winner on the track in the middle distances and was a state qualifier.....earned first team all-county and all-conference honors.....member of 4 x 800 meter relay squad that placed 6th in the state his junior year.....played four seasons of soccer and two more in basketball.....National Honor Society student.

    Personal - Carries a sport management major at Cedarville University.....born 4/2/84 in Springfield, OH.....son of Kris and Jean Shroyer.....has one younger brother.
